Default New here and looking for advice on a new build.

I've been racing 5th scale for a few years and now I'm looking to some kind of scale build. Wanted to do something this winter to keep me busy since I moved to Indiana and hear the weather gets nasty. Plus there isn't much 5th scale racing. Thought about the yeti score or maybe a bomber. Wanted to see what people thought about the kits. Thanks for any advice you have.

Welcome to the forums, and the best advice I can give you is to check out the Scale Rigs General Tech, as well as the Scale Rigs Brand Specific Tech sections. They'll give you some idea of what others are doing to improve from stock.

What part of Indiana did you move to?

We bought a place about 45 minutes west of Indianapolis. It's got about 30 acres of land and I've been working on a 5th scale track since we moved but it has some nice woods and a stream. Looks like it might be a good area for something.

I've got a couple team drivers in the Avon area. Jump on Facebook and find Michiana RC crawlers.

X2 and I'm partial to the Vaterra Ascender as a great scale crawler/trail rider.

Sorry guys I have been away a couple days.

Brazin I will look you guys up on Facebook. Avon isn't too far from me. I have been getting a lot of stuff from Lowes. Is Avon really a town or is it all just businesses?

Natedog I will post some up on this thread here in a few days.

As far as the kits you mentioned they are both good, it all depends on what your planing to do, rock racing/ crawling or just want a scaled down short course?
