| Scratch/custom build
Hello, what do you all use for axles for custom builds. I am looking for complete front and rear units 1/10 scale. I am new to this so I don’t have a stock pile of parts, and for this first build looking for inexpensive. Thanks |

Most likely a tonka. I have a collection for my son of 60+ tonkas from the 60s/70s. So I have a bunch of the traditional yellow dump truck size and a few that are more 1/16 size to experiment with. It would probably be the cab and a custom bed, not sure. Also thinking maybe custom frame. Kinda want to do a leaf spring suspension Rebil |

I think the width of the Tonka maybe a large part in your decision. Wraith axles if it is wider, if not I would say (as much as I like the AR44s) that the 10.1 axles from SSD may look more realistic under a Tonka. They are just beefier looking.

I would use the original scx10 style steel axles for the dump trucks and ether cut down scx10 2 axles or somethi g like a redcat everest 16 axles there cheap and small but there not as strong i would buy a entire redcat everest 16 for the smaller trucks that way your ready to go just transfer the parts to the tonka i am working on 3 tonkas a van a dump truck and a old rusty jeep pick up

The everest 10 axles are basicly clones of the original scx10 axles but there plastic i would highly recomend metal axles for the big metal dump trucks
