that is just the lightbar mount. some trucks don't run the lights during daytime so they will be removable as well as the roof lightbar. i have got a lot done and i will attempt to post up a lot more pics tommorrow. but i have had a lot of problems with webshots lately. |

ok well i am super stoked on this build. i got a lot done today. made some good link mounts and got the axle under her. i am going out to build the shock mounts next. battery style and mounting location are ??????. let me know what you think and ifyou have ay questions or advice let me know. onto the pics building at full droop just like the 1:1 building the rear arms... drilled, countersunk, and tapped this was a huge pain in the a$$ for the record. :mrgr een: center portion of the belly pay will be removed once i place the tranny where i want it. i can't wait to drive this thing.............:mrgr een: |

it looks wicked, one thing that might be good is to switch to larger rod ends otherwise its really coming together

I was expecting you to use the axial bent links in the rear and TLT link mounts. Yours are way cooler I like the integrated shock mounts |

holy crap we got a roller minus the tranny. i have been playing with the battery mounting location but i'm not quite sure. got to get me some more wheels and tires for the spares and find some light pods so i can build the light bars but i'm very happy with the results. i narrowed the front end a little to clear the fenders but i may still need some body trimming. also i am thinking about sanding the tires down to look a little more scale. check it out. flex shot....a sway bar will be a must! short video of suspension http://rides.webshots.com/video/3089...04845099yWxqAA Last edited by looneybin; 09-21-2009 at 05:02 AM. |

Excellent build! Great pics showing step by step. Thank you for taking the time to do this. You should take great pride in your accomplishment. Look foward to seeing a video of it in action. Or just putting around, either way. Very cool.

I was too distracted by the pics to notice the video link. http://rides.webshots.com/video/3089...04845099yWxqAA Then I browsed the other builds in the album. Great stuff. You should be working for tamiya... Or yourself doing this stuff. Excellent work. |
