The instructions say to only use the included charger. I’d like to use my Onyx 235 to charge the battery.

Mine is on the way!

I loved the original Mini-T and it was very durable for me. It only broke when I expected too much out of it.

Just ran it for the first time. Love it. Perfect for the mini track I’m going to build in the garage. Great get up and go but not a lot of top end speed. Steers great and the servo seems strong. Might buy another one to go brushless with but I’m satisfied with the way it is for what I’m wanting to do.

I didn’t realize the motor was inboard/forward of the rear shock tower. That should keep the wheelies down tremendously.

Yep, it's mid motor like pretty much every 1/10th scale buggy and stadium truck.

What weight shock oil would you start out with? 20?

What's stock? Does it say in the manual?

No it doesn’t say anything. Nothing about rebuilding them, or even a parts breakdown for the shocks.

Odd. Reach out to Losi/Horizon customer service and they should know. You can also try PMing Rich Trujillo on here, but that may take longer because I don't think he's here daily.

In those small shocks I'm guessing something like 20 weight would be a good start, but it depends on how you're going to use it and how you like the handling.

I think I used 20 weight on my rc18b back in the day.

You probably did. I think I put 15wt in my 3Racing shocks on mine.

I talked to Horizon. They suggest 30w. Seems a little high but I’ll try it once my new shocks come.

Cool. Thanks for sharing.

Did you order the aluminum shocks?

Yes I did. They should get here next week I’ll post pics. Next thing I’ll buy are spring sets. I have some 27w and some 25w. I’ll use one of those. Those aluminum hop ups look nice. Need some carbon fiber shock towers.

Picked up my new Mini-T yesterday and this happened already.

Stock was pretty fun for about a pack.

Still need to change the connector on the stock pack but just testing it with another battery (that didn't fit at all) shows this is going to be fun.

Some important information to note is the battery compartment dimensions are about 58 mm (L) x 32 mm (W) x 20 mm (H). There is a few more mms to be gained on the width by trimming some of the side guards but it seems the average 800-850mah 2S drone packs will fit for some extra capacity.

I got mine today. I am charging it now. It’s odd that the stock charger charges through the balance port.

I also had a heck of a time getting the battery out of the car. It barely slides in and out and have to use some force. Is everybody else funding this as well?

Yeah very hard to get the battery in and out.

The only real downside of charging through the balance leads is they can’t pass much amperage but that isn’t a concern on a battery this small. I don’t really trust chargers that don’t give you any info on the battery so I’m using the same charger I use for all my other batteries anyway.

As for getting the battery in and out, I found you have to pull up on the front corners then slide the whole pack forward a bit to get it out. This usually requires opening the battery hold down up more than you think you would need.

Just found this on eBay. Hopefully it will fit. If not no big loss.
