Nats has never been at the same place twice. I don't think anyone plans on changing that pattern, especially in back to back coastal visits. It would be a disservice to crawlers to do so. ECC looks to be permanently stuck there further reducing the chance Nats will be there [I hope]. More than a location however, all of these big events hinge upon a massive amount of work and resources from volunteers and sponsors. Lining up enough of this, through the cultivation of individual relationships, is a bigger challenge for 2014 in my book. It's early days. Plenty of time to kick back and enjoy the Holidays on you home rocks. Joel | |

| Re: Nationals 2014? This is a false statement, but according to your join date it was before your time. Pretty sure it was '06 we were in Moab area BFE, than '07 Moab tater salad hill. Those were some of the funnest Nationals I've been to.

| Re: Nationals 2014? I split the thread...returning the original thread to its original question. Its been narrowed down to A National park in Arkansas, Quarry in Ohio, Coastal Island in New England, and an ORV Park in Pennsylvania. (Open to more suggestions if local support is provded) Somewhere between Aug 14th and Sept 14th. I know that's a little vague but that's all I got so far. If I had a magic wand I would settle it today, but it doesn't work that easy. We also know we have 3 GOTO locations LRC, Disney, and Prescott if the others all fall through. All 3 are very supportive to our community. REWARD: Any that finds and does the legwork that leads to the acquisition of a comp location will receive an FREE invite to any classes available for that Nationals. Working with RiCrawler to check out logistics and such for Coastal New England. Terrain is Great, but logistics are a little more challenging.

Actually just left a message with the Parks and Rec manager about doing an event at Fort Wetherill on the island of Jamestown in RI, its one of my favorite local spots to play. Only ever had a small event there of like 6 guys so far, but I'm sure a bigger event would go well here. |

This is another great spot and then a pic of the whole park. It's a large abandoned fort that is killer to explore anyway... Never mind a great spot to crawl. |

I think Ocoee is another world class destination on the east coast. They seemed to be pretty willing to work with Colby about the GSS until the govt. shutdown. I could get the deets about what it would take to do it there. (Although I'd like to go somewhere I've never been for Nats. )
