See what you can come up with. Maybe take some pics on the area. It sounds like that might be the place this time. I like the mossy rocks. Moabs are going to be sheat on them..

Damn that looks niice! A lot like Bucks Pocket down in AL, minus all the moss. When are you going to do the recon? I would be down for going there Saturday. Monday I am going up to Beaver to check out a spot I was informed of. |

Of course the weather sucks and I have to wrench on it outdoors so the crawl spot recon gets moved down on the list for right now. :(

That spot does look pretty decent. Do you know how far of a walk it is from the parking area to the rocks? It would suck having to carry all that stuff that far, and going back and forth for repairs and to charge batteries. Even thought my wingtote does has wheels!. And leaving our vehicles out of eyesight/earsight. I'm off Saturday I'm gonna try and get up to Ohiopyle and check it out.

That sucks about your truck, but you know what they say about them Fords......Fix Or Repair Daily! Yeah...but it's usually from running over lil' bitty Chevys who get in our way!! I guess the tire-rubbin' slows them down! I wouldn't be too concerned about leaving the vehicles. This is an actual riding area and I've never heard of anyone messing with stuff. I can't really remember how far in the rocks are, but i have always ridden my mt. bike so it didn't take too long to get there. On foot may be a different story! I am hopeing to take a walk and see how long it takes on foot. I can also go in from the back side but there isn't a designated parking area if we do that and it would be on windy back road. |

Still has original shocks with new ones waiting to be put on. 35" tires and 4.56 gears can be tough on parts!

I vote the new spot in Apollo just to be different. Although with all of this rain, the rocks maybe be under the water... Hey John, have you been up to the spot in Beaver AB-C John has talked about? |
