The Lancer looks awesome! The pink wheels complete your livery.

I used Krylon Fusion on my DRX wheels. I only used some rubbing alcohol to prep them. Some paint rubbed off on the edges of the wheels from curb rash, but if you use black you can use a sharpie to touch them up.

Got the tires in today. I'll come up with sometime for foams before too long.

Kinda like the neon pink wheels!
You nailed it. Those look awesome...

Yep, I don't want to drive this car now! Looks too good.
Thanks for the pink color suggestion.

Pictures for Page 6 and another shout out to BC Paint's (bcrocks) for painting this up for me.

Looks sick! You could also do white front wheel and pink rear.

Yep, probably will order some more whites. I painted the whites I had this color, since it made the most sense for a good backing color. They are only $6 a pair.

Thanks. BC Paints did all the hard work on the paint job.

You won't be disappointed with the DRX. Like I said before, it's the most fun RTR R/C car I have owned. Handles great, available replacement parts and 4-5 bodies for it. If something were to happen to my garage, it would be the RC I grab first!

Talk about your accessories. Those wheels set your car straight, Man.
Damn, That looks good. Are you gonna do lights?

The DRX is a cool rally car for sure. I'll have it with me on the 8th.

Thanks. Rckcrwlr talked me into the pink wheels.
Not sure about lights. I am going to make some sort of inner fenders before I run it with this body. Have to stir up something for foams for the new tires too. I should be able to find something in one of my foam bins.

I jammed RC4WD 1.9 foams into mine and they work really well so far. A little bit firmer then the stock foams and don't seem to breaking down as quickly as stock either.

Good deal. I have 5 years of odds-ends rock crawling foams cramed in 2 Rubbermaid plastic totes. I'll come up with something.

You tried any inner fenders yet? I'll play around with some lexan scraps in a few days. I've found a few ideas from some HPI mini trophy inner fenders guys have done.

Man...that DRX VE sure came a long way totally digging the new paintjob and wheels! I'm seriously considering getting one but I wish it was available in kit form!!

But the one thing that keeps bugging me is that Kyosho and Tamiya still use phillips hardware! What's up with that?! I'd even prefer rc4wd's crappy hex screws over damn phillips screws. Grrr...and HPI too why the mix of phillips and hex?!

Thanks guys. I try to convert most to
hex hardware when i can. But its still a mix.

Been wanting to make some inner fenders to help better protect this body. i remember seeing a HPI Mini Trophy truck having a homemade inner fender. quick search, 0.020" styrene sheet and some sisscors and a rough first front inner fender. if i don run the under body ill have to make another one to go all the way down to the lower chassis. Little notch on fender is to clear the steering linkage on the driver's side.
Plan on doing a rear setup soon.

Again, just my first try. 0.030 styrene maybe a better thickness.

Thanks. 92% credit goes to BC Paints! for spraying the Lancer shell for me.

Thanks. It's a little rough for the first prototype but I'll cut another one and get it better. Rear of the fender needs to come down flush with the chassis for more protection if I don't run the underbody.

two pieces of 0.020" of styrene for the rear with two holes drilled. body clips above/below hold it on the posts and double sided tape holds the two pieces together.
