Hey guys...I don't like ford chances for 2013...namely because they announced in October that they were pulling out after the end of the current season! Has anyone else seen this? Any thoughts on who will replace them as main rival for citroen?

From what I have seen there may be a few privateer teams running 2012 spec fords, or maybe Ford may do some customer cars for privateer teams, but they have officially withdrawn from WRC. Their factory team's sponsor Abu Dhabi has shifted to Citroen, as well as their number 1 driver Mikko Hirvonen! Loeb is officially done with wrc and their are many bets and rumors as to what touring or sports car race series he may get into, if he does not entirely retire from motor sports.

Are you guys ready for the start of the season??

Its likely that this year´s Monty will be very ´Snowy´! This means that it will probably be extremely varied in conditions. Undoubtedly a difficult test for new entrants like VW.

Looks like the VW boys are on pace for a decent finish.

And with the more snowy conditions there is a chance that someone besides Loeb could win.

Race has not started yet. That is just what I got from a couple videos and articles on the shakedown run they did earlier today.

I get all my WRC info. from two ipod apps., WRC 2011 and iRally.

Speed used to show highlights and they still might, I have been looking for an American broadcaster for the WRC, but so far nothing. Through other countries though there are major TV networks showing live and edit footage this season of all the races. A google search might yield some results.

In WRC2 Sepp Wiegan leads second by 1:00.3

Apparently the official timing system was having issues today and Loeb just went flat out. But Ogier did get VW their first stage win this morning for the new team.

So the top 5 are currently comprised of 2 VWs and 3 Citroens, it is looking to be a dynamic season.

I´m surprised on how fast the VWs are running on their first rally! Without Loeb, I´m seriously considering Ogier for the title.

I agree with you, Ogier has always been very fast even in the Skoda last year. I am willing to bet Ogier takes the series and Hirvonen gets second. I also heard that private teams are now allowed manufacturer points this season, so M-Sport could actually take the series. It will be an interesting year.
