... Maybe... Got a link?

I watch a lot of rally videos and can't remember what any of them are called I just refer to them as the ones with the epic cars jumping and sliding.

I looked for an hour and could not find anything. Does anyone else know?

Maybe 1 of the million ESPN channels has it.

It's great to see VW being competitive right from the start.

Except the typical crash out by Latvala. I really have high hope for VW, but I think they made the wrong choice with Latvala and should have picked Solberg.

Now the question is will we see Loeb in Dakar this time next year?

Truthfully, we won't know how the Polo stacks up against the other cars until Mexico. It's hard to judge how fast a car is on the snow and ice that we see in the first two rounds.

Thats very true. I heard they were going 20-30 KPH on several of the stages because of the conditions. Though I still don't understand how Loeb got such a massive lead. Mexico will also be very interesting without Loeb there, I am really curious who else will shine without the poster boy present. We may see some drivers pushing really hard.

Here is the season schedule for anyone interested.

I like Latvala. He's super fast and determined but still young enough to make a few bad moves now and then. Keeps it exciting for sure though. By the end of the 2012 season, he had that Ford down great and was really giving Loeb a run for it. Its too bad he had to switch cars, but i think the VW's gonna be great too once he gets it together.

Those conditions in the last race were crazy bad. Most all the drivers said it was some of the worst they'd experienced, and several hit walls on day 4 especially.

Latvala had one of the worst hits of course since he always seems to be pushing. I felt bad for him though, he gets so sad when he crashes. I saw a short interview with him after the crash and he was almost in tears.

I'm excited for this season though, it's nice that we'll get a different winner than Loeb for a change.

Here's a short fan shot clip of Latvala's crash i found on youtube.
Glad they're okay.

Kyosho are you listening? We want to see the Polo!

Good to see the Polo's doing initially well. I agree it's too early to call them a success yet but it looks promising. It would be nice to see a 2-3 driver championship. When Loeb came in as a rookie you knew he was special but I don't think anyone thought he would dominate the Championship like he did.

It would have been good to see him take a serious stab at F1, he's shown promise in the tests and again in the Prototypes at LeMans

I would credit Daniel Elena for that! He is from Monte Carlo and nobody knows his roads and those conditions better than him!

I agree that choosing Latvala might have been a mistake. He is neither the fastest nor reliable and I don´t think he can learn much more anymore. He´s competing full seasons since 2007 and yet he didn´t shone.

VW´s strategy seems to focus on scoring points this season, that´s why they have only one rookie youngster and 2 vets + 1 mentor (Sainz). I reckon they went the safe way on their first year, highly underscoring their chances and equipment, but I would anyways have chosen Mads instead. He can be fast and seems to be cool and reliable with lots to learn.

Even if Latvala finally shines, then what? Will VW let their two main drivers fight for positions without any restrains, risking those valuable 1st season´s manufacture points?

Looks like Kenny got a new Livery and team name.
Now the Hoonigan Racing Division with a new 12,000 SF headquarters in Park City, Ut. Seems to be near the DC Mountain Lab and my dad, I know where I am going this spring.

Block is also going to contest 3 WRC events, the GRC, 4 Global X Games events, Gymkhana Grid, Rally America and a new Gymkhana video in partnership with DC Shoes.

It is definitely bright. But it plays into the popular appeal of the 1980's graphics and color ways that are making a come back in American culture. Block is quite the business man, so even if some people thinks it is ugly, I guarantee everyone will know it is his car when they see it. And really, that is his job, getting himself and his sponsors exposure.

Ok, maybe butt ugly might be a bit strong.

Now that you mention it, the graphics do have a bit of a 80's look. I agree that they are flashy, and will get attention.
