Here is the first course run...

For those that weren't there...we got a little ambitious with the design. It took us about an hour of fixing cones to find the right course...

Here is example of how tight it was...the cones were more like speed bumps than markers (Yellow=Passenger; Orange=Drivers)

Video looks good! My son and, I went out to a ball field this weekend. The infield is perfect for these cars. On a side note, I found one of the best reasons to have the under body. I forgot to bring body pins So we just run with the under bodies on

We incorporated the Pitchers mound in two ways...one was an off camber turn and the other was a jump... I loved our high speed run on the infield edge that went into a sick shacan (sp?).

Chicane-
is an artificial feature creating extra turns in a road, used in motor racing and on streets to slow traffic for safety. Chicane comes from the French verb chicaner, which means "to quibble" or "to prevent justice"

Good video John! It's so much better with all the other cars in the scenes. Looks like a fun time.

That's the plan with all the videos but it seems to turn into a Demolition Derby with the Demon Child...

Video #1 On board course 1
Video #2 On board sound

Video 1 sounds clearer than video 2. Video 2 sounds almost like an engine. What was the differance?

He added engine sound effects during video editing.

Here are a few action shots of the Demon Child.

Why it's a good idea to reinforce the front of the bodies.

That is an awesome shot. I have to say, no cracks at all on the body...that strapping tape really works great.

I have lost 2 wheel nuts on mine already. Apparently not the same torque on them as yours. I have been loving it although, like usual, no one else here has one.

Put a big crack in my body a couple of weekends ago (actually my Brother in law did it). Also, my tires are just about ready to explode. There is no treat left at all and they are starting to shred around the bead. I'm going to have to order up a new set soon.

excuse the grammar, I'm on my phone.

Nope, HPI doesn't fit.

There are several bodies for the DRX though, Lanica Stratos, Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, Demon, Ford Fiesta, and Citroen C4. Honestly I don't think there are many other platforms on the market that give you so many options.

There are also more bodies that are "vintage" or in Europe, depending what you are looking for.

Yeah but the price tag is crazy. I have the evo body but I want to repaint it and I can't find a decal sheet for it.

excuse the grammar, I'm on my phone.

Hi Rckcrwlr, reviving an old thread I think, just found this site and your underbody looks great, you say it's a Jconcepts Finnisher for the MP9, is that correct?
I just looked it up and what I saw was lots of Jconcepts Finnisher bodies for the MP9 on eBay but they look different to your one?
Your one has a nice rounded cab shape like a curved ball, the ones I see like this linked below
JConcepts Kyosho MP9 "Finnisher" Body [JCO0229] | Radio Control - AMain.com
are edgy straight lined cab?
Can you please confirm, or does anyone else know, as I'm seriously considering making this DRX VE my next purchase.

Also, how does the buggy body connect to the DRX VE , buggy body posts needed?
Thanks in advance.
