No just plug one esc in at a time and program it like a castle esc Plug power in wait 2 seconds pull full trigger hold tell it changes beeps pull full reverse hold tel beep changes release wait tell beep changes and then that esc is programmed then unplug and repeat on other esc . One or both esc may need to be reversed if they don,t want to be programmed in the radio and or sometimes when you need to pull full throttle for forward do reverse and then when you are to program reverse pull forward throttle I thing the rear xr10 esc is programmed this way Please check castle creations programming for there sidewinder esc for refrence |

Just wanted to thank everyone for the help and give a little update. Carbon fiber battery and electronics mounts are on and as of 10 minutes ago the carbon fiber servo mount is also in play. Hoping for the best going from a Hitec 7980 to a Futaba s9157. Hopefully the ofna horn will help in the mechanical advantage department. If not I'll be in the market for some steering arm extensions |

Did a little tweaking of the steering arm setup. Is a little more direct, will find out Sunday (assuming the snow holds off) at the comp. Suggestions welcome

Well the rig was great on the rocks, the one and only issue is the steering in the most extreme situations. for now I modded the short steering arm with a offset rod end. Testing will continue.

I must admit the rig ran superb at the last comp. I took an immediate rollover penalty on the second course and definitely driver error on course three but I'm still tweaking Before and after ---- comment welcome |

Those out boarded shocks should help with stability. Truck looks great. |

I'm assuming the gearing is a little lower in the bully axles when compared to xr-10's. After initial testing I may bump one more to 16

16t pinions are in and working great. There is no noticeable difference on startup under load or bind conditions. Makes me think I could get away with 17's???? Gonna keep it like this for a bit before the 17's.

Do you run the size number of teeth front and rear?

First thoughts of this rear shock setup - great vertical climbing, but very unpredictable on off camber side hill transitions. this is with 45wt oil. I have 100 and 300 so I may go back to a more parallel shock setup

I don't have much experience with shock oils. Tried the 100 and 300wt almost made no difference. So..... had some 1000,2000,3000 Factory Team AE diff fluid...... tried the 1000wt and it actually feels about right. Will need to wait till tomorrow to test on the rocks

The 1000 felt alot like my old mantis chassis - likes things slow, super smooth but did not handle quick transitions well. So after the first test session I dug out the 100 and 300. And the winner is 100. I will be ordering some 90,80,70etc for testing soon.
