Default 4.18 tires and larger, what are you doing about tire rub?

Just got my set of rc4wd 1.55 rock stompers(feel twice as stick as the mud trashers) in and I'm running the front shackle flip mod, my tires rub really bad on compression while turning on the cab side(not the front bumper side) of the lower fender wells. So my question to you guys running 4.2" tires or close to it, what are you doing to allow your tires to clear. I have ordered a ubolt set for front and rear because I was told it will allow me to move my axles on the leafs which would allow me to get the wheels situated in the wheel wells better to deal with the larger tires. What else can be done, can I run the thin hexes cause I know some guys are having issues with those as well since they sit too low in the hubs on the 1.55 wheels. Please, any thoughts here would be very helpful.
Kurt

Hi Kurt, not helpful for you, but I'm having this issue even with the stock wheels (and stock shackle positions). The tires rub on the front lower corner of the fender. I already moved the axle 3mm backwards but still too wide a track even with the thinner hexes. Are all those great TF2s here having this problem or do you run them so stiff the tires don't even get close to the body ?

Will have something very soon to help a small amount with this issue. So you can run a little taller tires.

i got the ublot kit and moved my axles fwd on both the front and rear.

rear shocks required some spacers on the axle and chassis so the shock bodies wouldnt hit the ubolt plates on compression.

Yeah I have my u bolt kits on order but they were Bo on me so now we wait, in the mean time I already added 6mm spacers to the upper and lower along with the provided 2mm spacers on the bottom for the rears. Thx man

I used the 8mm wide hex hubs from a Traxxas slash 2wd. Worked perfect with 1.9 Pro 10's from Rc4wd and TSL SX's
