| Re: Brandon's Blazer Build Thanks! The bumpers are kinda big on this kit and it is just a LOT of chrome. A bit of paint takes some of the 'bling' away.

Thanks for the kind words! Progress is slow, I have a couple young girls that need a lot of attention! But it's getting there. Might play with getting the electronics in tonight after bedtime!

I got a bit more done. I added some inner fenders. They are the lexan RC4WD ones for the Blazer. I painted both sides hoping to get a semi gloss look, but the polycarbonate Tamiya paint comes out pretty shiny... Oh well. Nothing like some shine in the engine bay! I also finished my steering links and got a bit of wiring in there. Here are the photos... |

I received my Junfac 10mm wide hexes. They turned out to be just a bit to wide for the axle shafts, and the slot for the pin was about .015" too deep. Quick fix in the lathe, and now I have a bit more width! The axles now are just over 3/16" wider hex to hex. Here are a couple shots trying to show how the tires sit now. I tweaked the badges so they sat flat on the body and used black rtv to attach them. |

you had mention changes during the build and i speak for must us.There will always be changes while building for sure and those little road blocks for mods happen to me all the time.As for the back window if your completely unhappy with it you could remove it and make believe it's rolled down..that's what i normally do to the drivers door window remove it or maybe leave 1/4 window rolled up.. Side note My buddy had one 2 tone White top /bottom and with like a little dark aqua green.Just a thought you may change your mine again. great build...

The rear window is just 2 sided taped in, so not a problem if I want to add a piece of lexan. I could leave it out and it would just look like the electric window died in the down position again (I'm sure anyone who has had one knows how fun that is). I had thought about leaving the driver's window 'down', but it's tacked in there now!
