I was wondering if you can use the axial front axle with the servo moved to the side and batt on the front axle? Will there be enough room for articulation or will it hit the chassis when flexing?

with the suspension fully compressed the servo sits between two frame rails. if you move the servo to the side and mount the batt next to it, they will probably interfere with the chassis as the suspension articulates.

A: Depends if you're using 1.9 or 2.2 Tires/Wheels. Keep in mind there is no "Wrong" or "Right" length since it's subjective. Here's what we've found to be the best using our Universal Servo/Link Mounts: (Lengths are the measurement of the link itself not eye-to-eye of the rod ends)

-2.2"
Front Upper - 55mm
Front Lower - 70mm
Rear Upper - 70mm
Rear Lower - 70mm
OK. I made my own links, and matched your dimensions posted here. They came out pretty good for home made links, but I'm curious about your "Universal Servo / Link Mounts."

Does it keep the 3 Link set up in the front which accounts for the 15 mm shorter link up top in the front?

I used the four link adapters that came with my SCX 10 in the rear, and the stock 3 Link set up in the front. I have only minor rubbing (about 1 to 2 mm) of my servo horn on the frame during full compression. We all know that you seldom experience a true full compression though, so it's not an issue.

Do you have any pics of your universal mounts and the upper links front and rear? I'm interesting in going with Axial made links and your universal plates if I like them.

You should be able to use everything exceot for your links those come with the plastic links. The links will be way to long, and the links are pretty weak to begin with.I would upgrade and buy the axial metal links and ball ends.

8-32 all-thread with Jato rod ends sleeved with tubing works great also .

It's a heavy chassis so the extra strength of the above setup helps make it almost bullet proof.

Default wreckluse

ive got two of these things now. both brushless with frame mounted steering servos, axial drivetrain and 2.2 tires. very capable rigs if stretched abit and with big offset rims they r pretty stable. i run gmade wheel wideners and these things r mean looking. will try and post pics as soon as i figure out how. and they are super durable!!!!!!!!!! trying to get my hands on a third for a 4door version.
