This is going to be a more capable and fun rig than scale. But yes the other one is definitely cooler. And smaller

I really need to get into this 3d printing stuff, I just don't know where to start lol, I know I wouldn't print anything real big just detail parts, any direction you can point me for a small printer setup? That stuff really livens up that Scout body, it looks great!

You fully have my attention for new fender flares, can't wait to see what you come up with.

A simple Google search of "getting started in 3D printing" will return lots of good information, I went through that about 9 months ago. Still learning how to tweak settings to get that perfect print but getting printing with some good results usually doesn't take much.

Check out the Monoprice MP Select Mini and Creality Ender 3, both are very popular first printers with a large support community online. They both go for around $200 and require very little setup to get going.

I'm tellin' ya, the big ol' Tundra has squared off fender flares with round wheel openings. It's a 'thing'.

That's kinda the look I was going for. Doesn't look too bad.

I don't care for all that on a 1:1 DD, but would be fun on a RC. I think the G8 looks great just like it is. I can see one of these in my future.

I think I like it best with the flares off. I think I'm going to just make a piece to go around the arch.

Halfway done with the windows. Test fitting the interior. Looks like it should be good.

So I changed the wheel base to 12.375. I was also correct and flipped the servo horn. I also mounted the Link to the the portal instead of the link. It now has pretty much 0 bump steer. I also changed the servo since I had it apart.

Tried it out out at the shortened wheel base and I noticed it steers better but other than that it's the same.

Trimmed out the fender flares. Not awesome but it's better than it was.
