PayPal cleared my claim, I got back my $505. Because I used Bill Me Later, I am now awaiting for it to show up there as a credit to my account.

All I can say about this thread after reading all of it is............WOW... I had my first "Real" RC car in 1979, a LaTrax Corvette, it had an ESC the size of a index-card. It's just a shame that someone with that much talent would let it go to waste. I'd give anything to be in his position, doing something I love, especially now at 51 and out of a job.......My prospects are low to say the least but I' m going back to school in the spring and taking CNC Machine Tech. Maybe I'll be the next Eritrex scale-motor builder, but I'm not gonna bend ya over........The dude was probably not a true RC'er from the get-go. It was all about money.... | Re: My take on a scale drivetrain (pic heavy) When I talked to paypal they told me that in extreme cases like this they could still get refunds after the 45 days. Have you called and talked to someone there and explained the situation to them?

its a very sad day when 99% of drug dealers out there have more honesty and integrity than someone with the skills to make something this nice from a block of aluminum... on a side note... i hope gerame stays in the hobby and i hope i get to run into him somewhere Last edited by THX_138; 12-21-2011 at 08:38 AM. | |

I'm tempted, but I got this big ass ocean in my way. If I was ANYWHERE on the mainland, I'd go. Maybe it's a good thing I can't just drive there.

All yous guys saying go to his house, call the police, show up with ma' 9 and bust a cap... If you dont like that nobody else is going there, then YOU do it. I have officially received my money as of today. I am as satisfied as I can be because of my lack of authority. Even though Gerame pulled this stunt, I still dont want to see him 6 feet under or wish him the worst. Its not like hes getting away with it scott free...he lost his business, all loyalty of his friends, tons of money (not just in people getting refunds but all the time and materials he used to convince us this was an awesome motor). For any of you that dont have your money back yet. Keep trying or forget about it. Unfortunately some of the previous posts are right. We live in a society full of wimpy human beings. If you do not think you are part of that society (which you are, even if you dont agree) then show us your individuality and do something about changing the world. It is sad, it is unfortunate, it is selfish, and it is cruel for people to take advantage of others like this. I have never been taken for such a ride... I am furious this happened. BUT I am also the SUCKER who paid for something I had no proof I was getting. We all took that gamble. |

Don't know why my post was taken down but I'm not saying go there and go crazy on him, I'm sure it would be a rude awakening if someone showed up on his door step with their palm out telling him to his face to give them a motor or their money back. No matter how you look at it, what you guys choose to do, or what he said what he did is considered internet fraud and is an enforceable and punishable offense. He has your money and you have nothing. Simple. I would be calling that police station wherever he lives every damn day if the bank and paypal were no help.
