 Sickness!
I really like the right side 7980 mount; wish it would fit there on SuperBully's.
What are you going to do with your SB axles now?

P.S. Looks like your ground wire on the front motor is loose.

JeremyH 11-09-2011 08:30 PM

Thanks guys!

Thanks! Not sure what I'll do with the bullys.....maybe sell them.

Yeah, my kid was playing with the truck this evening and I guess he ripped that wire off...

Some weight hangars:

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...n/P1050712.jpg

These are able to hold 10oz of weight and the delrin piece weighs 1oz. All of this weight is below the top of the axle and all but one slug (0.5oz) is below axle centerline.

JeremyH 11-10-2011 08:18 PM

BTW, if any of you are wondering, I have not used any fancy ass tools to cut these plastic pieces.....just the following cheap dremmel router attachment and a file to clean up the edges:

Holy lil harry weights!

JeremyH 11-10-2011 08:41 PM

Those are small tungsten weights for a Pinewood Derby car. Same as I run on my 2.2. "thumbsup"

Hook it up! :ror: Badass work Jeremy. "thumbsup"

I was wondering where that berg tube and case where going to go. I figured you were going to build another 2.2 or something or make them paper weights.

Rig is looking awesome. Wheel weight holders are very expansive!

I just bought one of those dremel routing attachments. Any places to get more/better bits? I have just been cutting foams with mine so far. :ror: And a little bit of carbon fiber.

Those are sawweeet. I need to add those to my cart. :)

Thanks for the parts!"thumbsup" I havent found any better bits...but I havent looked. The bits supplied make quick work of delrin! I havent tried them on anything else.

Haha...no thanks! Making these parts has made a HUGE mess in my garage! :ror:

That's allot of weights! Are they just friction fit or are you going to retain them?

JeremyH 11-11-2011 11:31 AM

Yeah, the hole that I drilled is slightly smaller than the weight. I bevel the outer edge of the hole then a few taps of a hammer and the weight is sitting snugly inside the holder and it isn't going anywhere. "thumbsup"

Looks great man I'm hoping to get a set of bully's this winter so I can build my first super. My super clods just aren't cutting it any more lol.

Diamond D 11-11-2011 01:07 PM

Whats the diameter of those tungsten pieces? Also it looks like you can buy em to that length?

Thanks! Yeah the super bullys are almost indestructible right out of the box. I was quite happy with them, just time to move on.

About 9.5mm in OD and 11mm long. I cant remember the bit that I used to drill the holes, but can check when I get home.

Here is what I buy:
Tungsten Cylinders - 1/2 oz ea - 4 oz pkg

JeremyH 11-11-2011 01:17 PM

Haha.....I just noticed a few rod ends stuck to the magnets in my motor in this pic:
