8v you say..... hmmmm

Probably apples to oranges but I did all my throttle curves in my ESC software when I went to 4s. Took me a long time to get it where I want but I ended up doing a linear curve that starts at the 30% line at the bottom and then stopped it at the 50% line along the side so, its pretty well limited but actually feels really good.

Thanks for thr tips I'll start somewhere near there. These 30ts are really jumpy. Big power at slightest touch.

You think 8v is too much?

Nah I set mine to 8.4v as that's what Hitec says they can handle. 2s out of the box!

Mostly buttoned up on this one re programed servos. They're centered and epas are prefect. Esc sprogramed need more drive time to see if i like these settings and i think I'll run mostly clear skins, cuz "if you see the crown you know they're down....." how's that go?

I dont know if its "too much" going to 8v on the servos. In the past, I have always thought it was a bad idea upping the voltage just because I could never get a servo to last more than a couple of weeks at best on my super. I have been locked in that mind frame even now running the strengtheners and wonder if you could be safe running up to 8.4v like Mammoth is saying?

I have not blown a servo since putting the strengtheners on and I would guess thats coming up on 2yrs or so? I could look it up if I really wanted... LOL Last weekend my front servo was starting to act lazy... good timing. I may switch it out.

I have gotten pretty accustomed to clear side panels. I really like them that way. Clear sides and painted tops FTW! I actually wish there were no rules for side panels. I dont see the point, at all.

I've had nothing but grief running Hi-tech 7980's at anything over 6.7 volts with or with out the servo straighteners.

Must have burned up 4 or 5 7980's on the Super before settling on 6.7 volt's with no issues since. ( with out straighteners)

I've also stopped using 7950s on the Sporty and Pro just because they don't last long even at the lower voltages.

Erik your pretty much right on with the ESC throttle curve that's ware mine starts at 30% and arcing to 50% the straight up to 100%. Really got rid of how jumpy my Brood 35 T SiSu's were.

Also stopped breaking Berg small 2nd & 3rd's gears running 4s

Isnt 2s lipo rated at 7.4v?

Although a fully charged lipo opperates at 8.4 fully charged.....

I emailed them one time to see what there response was as the box says 2S ready. I have it in writing from Hitec that 8.4 is normal running voltage!

"
7.4v is the nominal rating just as 4.8v & 6v… we expect that you will charge your batteries so yes, 8.4v is fine! J

I'm using Dlux servo strengtheners..... and they do just that provide servo strength for days. One slight draw back is a slightly slower servo, this can be remedied by bumping up volts on BEC. Then you have to manage servo heat again so its kind of a balancing act. Finding the right balance between speed and heat.

These are not my super, but we had a comp this weekend and we ran SUPERS! We ran three courses all tough, but I'm excited to get more stick time.

We had 5 supers on course 1 and and then 4 to drive the other 2 courses.

John Hall was driving the Rent-a-Super Superjuice Berg on Stock axles using a pistol grip MT4. After gate two, which was a little tight the almost 10 pound Berg broke a Super 300 shaft and that pretty much ended that truck's day.

Hopefully I can get a donation of a long Super300 shaft so I can get the rig back up and running.

AS for my Super it drove well, stuck some lines and was very stable, I need more time driving and probably tune the ESC's a little more, but the rig is feeling great!

You could also take all those Bully shafts that you just took out and put the SDS stubs on them. I wouldnt trust the Bully shafts on a super but they will make great spares for sure and will obviously get you through some courses.

I dont remember if you broke a long or short side but if it was the long side, you could probably even cut it to length, cut a tang on it and make it a spare.

On the same note, I might even have some used Berg long side Bully shafts if you guys need them.
