This "little" guy, is last on the list of my comp rigs.. Figured, I'd do it right! A little parts pics.. Electronics.. Ohhhh yyyyeeeeeaaaahhhhhh!!! Time to switch to axle's.. Or axle... I'm building as family/work/time allows.. With the deadline of having it in the rocks, for ECC.. Which I'm leaving for in 8 days! Back at it.. |

I think you need longer rear links.

Yeah buddy! Youre going to love this car! I wish I would have kept that skid for myself.... What are you thinking for radio settings? Seems like it would be sweet to have the rear steer setup on the lever that you usually use for proportioning. Seems like that would really mess with your head though too. IMO, smooth, non incremental steering is huge. |

It's mine, you can't have it! ;) The skid worked out great.. I threw in a 2mm axial aluminum spacer's at the skid/chassis.. Yes, I believe the rear steer will be in the lever. After talking to a few ppl, watching Samu, and having my 4ws trail rig setup on the lever. I feel the general consensus is, proper rear steer is more important/usable then motor mixing.. |

Agreed. Rarely if ever do I mix/proportion in a comp, only in fun crawling. I think its going to make the super harder to learn though... Its hard for me to transition back and forth from cars. After driving my super, I will try and rear steer my 2.2P class car for 1-2 packs. |

I hear what your sayin.. Like this past weekend.. Ran 1x course of 2.2s, 2.2p, an trail/scale.. Then built another course of each.. (My tx cycled thru rx's more in one day then it has in a year! Repeatedly.. Lol..) My TF2 has the 2 siped tranny on the lever.. Scx had 4ws on the lever.. I didn't try to dig/burn my TF2 or try to shift gears on the pro rig, at all.. So hopefully I can follow suit between the super and the pro.. |

FINALLY a topic of THE beast! Now there's only Hittman's supah topic missing still. I seriously suggest to put the rear steer to the lever. Nothing comes even close to be more epic feeling than getting used to the lever rear steer. You can bring the rig basically however you like on the course. I enjoy driving the super like that. Hardly use the dig, unless I have to. It will take some time to learn to switch the rigs, but it'll fade off eventually. Great to see, that you picked up some kickass parts for it. Looking forward to see how you do with it. |

Driving super is crazy fun! The rear steer totally changes the way dig works. The proportional is still really nice so don't forget about it entirely.

Thanks Samu.. I'm pretty stoked about it! The true test will come after I get some drive time on it.. Hopefully a fair well at the NENC, which will leaf up to the true test, in Vegas! Curcal.. I'm not sure how I can fluently do steering and proportional.. Maybe I'll have to get with Purp and see if I can't put in a self centering joystick for proportional. Or steering on the joystick and motor's back on the lever.. Time will tell... |

How are you guys setting up your servo positioning? I'm going with what I know, and started mounting it level/plumb, with the front gear case.. Also.. Same thing with the link/shock mounts... |

Predrill and tap link mounts off of the car top and bottom 180* ish from each other Assemble every think together mock up use set screws to keep things from moving while you adjust wheel base square and case angle. Remove either your top or bottom link mount set screws drill and tap tubes. My self i use m3x6mm button heads for the tops. Of my link mounts. Install those screws. Then do all the bottoms (heres where i use set screws) . then set castor use set screw in the alternative screw hole (if using ax10) drill and tap tubes . I use 3mx6mm here too both sides I hope that helps |

After all that then i did the servos ... i eyeball set them to level. The important part here i found was clearance of that big huge gear for the strengthener.

Thanks for the info Curcal.. I'm following what your saying. So, say your rear case is angled to in the air, you still set your servo level with the ground? (I can dig it).. Now I just have to find the max wheel base info and get to setting stuff up. I keep bouncing back and forth on threads and see that I'm kinda boned with my setup! I have centered case's and super 300's.. Which makes me think I'm going to be narrow and lack steering.. :( or wide hex's needed.. I guess, in the long run, I'll have to get 2x LONG side tube's and 2x full sets of the Dlux'd out ofna shaft's. I'll have/get a good amount of time for building tomm.. |

Wheel base has to be between 16in min. and 18in max.
