Thanks JB

Got the tranny/motor mounted tonight. I had some Maxx driveshafts laying around that were set up for TLT axles so I'll be running them. I don't have alot of faith in the Pede shafts surviving the power.
It's a tight fit with the Maxx shafts but I'm pretty sure if I put the nut on the outside of those front upper links there will be no interference.

Got some pics of the 1.9 Mashers for the rear and a paper mockup of the boatsides. The boatsides will double as the battery trays.
I didn't narrow the Mashers as much as most people do for two reasons. One, I wanted the width to match the unnarrowed Moabs. The other reason is because I wanted to keep them from looking like tractor tires. The way they are glued I think makes them actually look similar to the Mickey Thompson Baja Claws Don Hadden ran in TTC this year. He cut out every other set of lugs.

Thanks for checking it out.

It's tight but I didn't see any binding, and the front articulation is amazing. If this was done using your standard link setup it would fit even better I think because there would be less triangulation of the upper links. All you would have to do is move the nut to the outside on the upper links.
I'll verify this though.

Yeah, there were several reasons for them.
Cool looks
battery mounting
sliding over the rocks easier
the lovely sound of steel bouncing off rocks

I'm still thinking of making them a little different, so that the angle ends up all the way at the bottom. I won't be able to bend that though, I'll have to make it from 2 pieces.

how will the maxx shafts work? i tryed to run them on my TLT with a AX-10 trany and the spur was in the way of clearing the maxx shafts. how do you plan on getting around that??? just going with a really small spur?
