I made alot of progress on the front axle today. I got everything mounted just like I wanted. It's packaged very tight, it took alot of brainstorming to figure where everything had to go. I need to head to the LHS to get some longer screws but everything else should be set. This truck will be complete by this coming weekend, I have a comp to attend. I'll start mocking up the fiberglass chassis tomorrow.

Nope, lots of drive shafts

Need to work on that rear upper rod end/servo mount then I can start on the frame rails.

It looks like you're real close to the max deflection on those driveshafts (especially the front). Think you'll have a problem with binding?

I wonder if a flex cable would work instead, the kind used in RC boats? Use that in the center/rear section. Might even have less friction than all those U-joints.

I like it so far.

I've got the chassis plates all cut out, both axles finished. I just have to make the crossmembers and end pieces. I've picked up a Chevy Blazer body might be to wide though, stick chassis designs get all the flex from one swing of the axle. Something different though, I'm trying my best to build up something out of the norm. I have used mostly all fiberglass and composite plastics. Which is very odd for me as I have never built something with plastics. Pics later

Gonna have killer belly clearance though around the 5'' range, without the side effects of a high mounted trans.

i'm not too sure where you are going with that big ball joint, but if you're going stick, it looks like youmay have some clearance issues with it's height. it doesn't look tall enough to clear the gearbox, and keep the spine in a straight line....

No stick, chassis plates but the suspension should work the same.

I have the small problem of the front drive shaft swinging into the nut the front link is mounted with. I could solve it with a flat head screw though.
