The only pic I have of it in action, is the one attached. No one seemed to think shooting more. Sorry. Hopefully, I'll get to take it out again before the snow hits, and get some real pictures and video for everyone.

ok i see that the wire rests against the stops on the chassis to limit up travel but what limits droop?

The wire is ziptied to the stops. As I said, it was rough. Eventually I'll come up with something stronger. I have a few ideas, but the ziptie worked great.

I'd have to talk to the guy who made mine. But before the vendor nazi's step in, I'll stop talking about it. PM if you want more info.

Damn it you beat me to it. I had a VERY similar idea. The only difference I had was sepeate top links. Other than that it was simillar.
GREAT job it looks awesome. Sounds like it performs great too.

We had a prototype we were testing last year(May 2005) that was setup nearly exactly the same.... we dropped it.

Some quick video footage from back then...

If you can dial it in, I really think it'd work well. Good luck.

It took too much time to dial it in. The wire/sway bar setup is tough to alter... the "spring rate", that is. We experienced a lot of bouncing due to the sway bar setup acting more like a spring, not enough dampening. It's fine once you get it setup but for most of the crawlers out there, they want a "plug-n-play" chassis setup. This one needs time to tweak and get to know. Would have been a nightmare of PM's to answer if I started to sell something like this. I think if someone were to really spend some time to dial it in, it'd work great.

RCRockGear is just about ready to start selling a chassis setup similar to this but much easier to figure out, even for the n00bies...

this set up works because the piano wire goes clear through the chassis if he cut and collared like you said it would no longer act as a torsional spring.

one thing you might try is to drill a 3/32 hole through the stop and run the wire through it instead of under it with zip ties to hold it in place!

V2 is in the works. Improvements consist of easier GC adjustability, actual spots for bosy posts, and SW2-style tranny mounting holes.
