yeah I see what you mean about the slipper.

I have 4 spur gears comming. if I much them up I'll deffinatly go back to the slipper.

I will also try some larger pinions to get more tooth contact going for me.

just found this thread, and after reading much of it, i am impressed on what you have done to your crawler. It looks really good, even though i thought your original high rise looked interesting, i knew it was not practical, but it looks like you really know what you doing now, because that rig looks nice!

I just found this thread and read the entire thing. Its amazing the progress one project can carry. Awesome job man. I hope that people read this and see that not all newbs are clueless. If I had any intentions of going beyond backyard basher I would hope to have a rig as capable as yours.

Thanks alot guys :-) that's sweet to hear those positive remarks.

yeah this is a great example of the transistion of a noob that knew nothing about crawling to the guy I am today. the pictures and text show the story quite well, I have to admit that each stage my rig was in was a blast. lol it was totally fun morphing it into what it is today. and today it still is not "finished" it is very capable now but I just can't seem to stop.

tonight actually I am going to trim some foams and put them in to help the moabs.

then a lighting system so I can crawl at night.
