Curious, you may be just as well off buying a Venom Mini Giant. you still might be able to get one for $50 from venom.

Well my goal at 1st was to get a TLT and build a scale rig (and that is still what I want to do). I just don't want to go spend $$$ and then not be completely interested in it ya know.

I did, but I bought it straight when they came out. Like a week after. From my LHS.

You have to call venom directly and ask for a VMG roller. It doesn't come with electronics. But you could easily get a hold of electronics from someone who has changed to an ESC/Rx setup.

Yep! That's what I did. $50 for a roller. Venom folks were nice to deal with too.

I just saw the 1/6 Jeep today. It actually looks pretty interesting. It even has proportional steering and throttle, how proportional who knows. It's still a bit toy-like but they appear to have made an effort to put a somewhat realistic suspension on it, though it's not a shafty from what I can tell. The tires look pretty good, decent compound, (not Masher 2K soft, more like Imex Swamp Dawg.) and flexible. A dual motored, off-road R/C with proportional electronics for less than $100, that's hard to beat. I'd consider buying one but they are just too darn big! In fact, the major hobby quality manufacturers should be ashamed that a toy company beat them to it.

Still no sign of Scorpions, 1/6 or 1/18.

I just picked up a 1/18th scorpion at my local Wal-mart. They also had the Jeep there, but counting the one I got there were only 2 on the shelf.

Price was $44.72 pre tax

Let me take some pics and I'll need someone to resize them.
