Bender....
this is why I said that I remember a TXT like yours.

This was my attempt at making savage shocks work on the TXT.

Was that TXT Super Digler? I would love to see that thing in action. I love the clearance under those axles w/ kongs. 8O

Maybe some day Roctapus will get a set.

Nope. This TXT!

Damn dude, you don't play around when you build a rig do you. That's one of my favorite pics from Grizz's post.

A guy on the forum here, Wes, owns it now.

I figured that one shafty and one clod was enough!

That's the one I was asking you about at raffle. That was my inspiration for Roctapus. I love the way it looks.

Sorry I can't keep up w/ you on posts I'm a cave man w/ computers.

I should have kept that design and put the gd600 in it like yours. It would have been an awesome TXT. The sway bars worked really well too, with the limiting straps.

I cut a stock sway bar in half, re-bent threaded end to slide in chassis hole, put a lock nut on it, then routed other end on top of passenger rear lower link and used mini hose clamp to hold it( I hope that makes sense ). It seemed like I was on to something, but I haven't screwed around w/ it lately. Seems like a sway bar on that one corner of the truck, that worked, would solve a lot of problems prone to shafties. I'll screw around w/ it a little bit and see what I get.

Well, Roctapus got a little makeover. Here's a list of what's new:

Super Rooster
2 Digital Hitec 945mg servo's
Modded TQ-3 radio
Pro-Line 40 Series Outbacks w/ Dirt Hawgs
Integy 55t lathe motor in the mail
Shock towers machined out of 6061 plate stock
Extended wheel base a little, maybe 1/2" tops (16 1/4" now)
Lowered it a hair

I may dye rims black, and narrow them about an inch, but I'm not sure yet. Let me know what you think about changes. BAH-DA BLING!

No I haven't :( , hopefully tomorrow. Weather looks good this week suppose to be almost 60 degrees by wed, and mid 50's the rest of the week. I can't wait to try tires out. I have tried 4ws for 1 pack in rocks and it's UNREAL the difference it makes.

Don't fear the shafts man. I know how nervous you clod guys get when you see a nice shafty.

No, it doesn't have more flex than yours. In fact, I may limit the travel more than I already have. But, I love the look they give my rig. Because they have a little more stroke to them, I can stand them up more to fight torque twist and not lose much articulation.

Thanks, I haven't bent a shaft yet. I'm sure they'll come a day though. I still have the other 4 from the 8 pack I bought, for spares. I use the spare set to play w/ shock height (fuel line in shocks) and oil weight. Then I can just swap them out to see. Yeah, not long after you asked about my previous shock mounts I bent one of them. But they were mostly just for testing. I think my chassis will bend before these shock mounts will.

Thanks, I'm running 129:1 final ratio. 12t pinion on motor, bored out stock 15t on reduction output shaft, w/ 1 battery and stock 540 motor. The run time is awesome w/ this set-up, I've got a lathe motor on the way, so I may need more wheel speed after that, we'll see I'm going to try it w/ this gearing.

129:1 with a lathe motor will be like 200:1 You'll probably won't to go somewhere under 100:1. Just an FYI

Yep, my ratio is 82.8 with a lathe motor and I really like it. I am using a 15T on the gd-600 and a 18T on the motor.

Yeah, I remember you guys saying elsewhere that more than 100:1 ratio w/ lathe motor was too slow. I'll have to throw the 18t on motor instead of 12t. Then, I think, that'll give me 85:1. Thanks for the info guys.

Nice, I like the bling. How do those tires hook up compared to the Trac's? I was thinking of getting some for the Maxx.
