I'm building an scx10 fj40, but I'm performing SAS on my cc01 by using axial axles, the convenient way because of all the available parts

I thought of that, but I think I am going to get this one working, and then just but a SCX10 and make either a D90 or a Wrangler

Go to this site: http://www.rcrockcrawling.com/index....b4d22b229c712e

The one I ordered is the 2:1 GRU, Reason is it is not that slow (like 4:1) but it give you quite a bit more torque. These units are direct fit on a 540 sized motor, but some cutting of the battery tray is needed.

Your rig looks awesome though. I've followed your build on another forum. Loved it then, and still love it.....

You can also use an inexpensive gd 600 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...+600&search=Go you only need to turn down the pinion shaft and you have a 2.5:1 reduction, i also used an outrunner fron jrh and i am still able to use regular stick packs

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...+600&search=Go

check out the speed.

Thanks, but a GRU is the very last thing I am going to look into. I just need to get the truck running. I also discovered the that the gears are not meshing at all. I may get a larger pinion or find a way to move the motor over a hair.

Waterboy1 said that if I am going to have a kick butt rig(I hope) you need a kick butt body. And I got one. I refuse to tell what it is but here are a few hints:

It is going to be red and black
It has a spare tire
aaannnnddd...thats it

I will however say that my painting job sucks because the tape didnt always touch where the colors are different, and it ran under. I think it still looks really cool too.

Also, I know have a driver to tell the story for himself

Good looking interior too

The driver. Steve "No Legs" Irwin

"Thanks for the new rig mate, that old one was always giving me trouble. Now I can go catch stuff like this"

"Or, if I am having a good day mate, even a couple of blokes like these"

"This has some serious articulation mate, it looks like it can go places the old rig could only dream of"

"She tuck her wheels in nice mate, this Shelia really know how to show off"

"The front has nice flex too to be an independent suspension"

"Great job on the Jeep mate, I will look great driving around in this thing"

35 integy with a 2:1 GRU on 2s lipo is the honey hole setup man, i just put the 35t in mine and ran it. Tons of torque and still some decent wheel speed for those spots where its needed.
