Default **New** DLUX Wheels

Vendors thread for pricing and release date:
DLUX 2.2 AND 1.9 wheels

Introducing the new DLUX line of wheels.

When looking for my new set of wheels I could not find exactly what I wanted so, I decided to make my own. I knew I wanted them as light as possible, tons of room for knuckle weight and to have the ability to run different widths.

Here is what I came up with….

Key benefits:

•Lightest “performance” bead lock wheel on the market at 1.4oz for a .7 wide wheel with all hardware. If you’re really looking for weight savings, you could use the optional nylon spacers and aluminum screws for a weight of 1.1oz.. (Aluminum spacers suggested for durability).

•Wheel width is adjustable in 1/8" increments by simply using different width spacers (sold separately). You can get your wheel width anywhere from .5 wide to 2.3” wide, without having to buy new wheels, EVER.

•No wheel gives more room for knuckle weight since the face is all the way to the front of the wheel.

•Solid front wheel face proves to be the dominant design for sliding past obstacles instead of getting stuck on them. Faces allow the button head hardware to sit recessed so you will not catch your hardware on the rocks.

•Wheel design gives the opportunity for ultra narrow track width all the way to reasonably wide. Adjustable hub offset using SLW hubs.

•Open inner wheel design gives maximum air flow achieving less tire bounce/hop. This was the biggest unexpected benefit IMO.

•The way you mount the tires makes mounting even Boss Claws a sure thing, every time.

•Wheels are designed for bolt on Tuning rings sold in many diameters (see post 121).

•Wheels are designed for bolt on weight system (Now here. See post 123).

•The most economically priced QUALITY bead lock on the market.

•If you were to ever have a problem, each individual piece is replaceable at a very LOW price. No more trashing wheels because of a stripped screw hole, bent spoke, stripped hub etc,.

I expect to start making these in a couple weeks. I just need things to calm down a bit in other areas of business, so that I have time to make them without having huge delays in shipping. Things are a bit crazy right now.

1.9 version coming soon.

I will get some more info/pics up soon.

Need some cold weather testing?

I like the solid face and recessed hardware, I hate trying to get a hex driver in trashed screw

I know SVEN makes a super wheel that is similar. I would need to check with him since I dont know if he sells those or not. Dont want to step on toes there. I know I will probably be making a personal set. I have checked into it and just for materials the super wheels would be far from cheap. They would come after I am done with the 1.9 wheels and caught up on the 2.2 release.

I have made 3 sets now. After seeing pictures, white may be my favorite. I will see if somebody can post some pictures of their white ones.

Here is another tease. Clear wheels However, I dont know if these will hold up. I just made some for the novelty and didnt count on them lasting more than 3/4 battery packs. After 6 packs I am really surprised how well they are lasting. They even seem to be somewhat scratch proof. Time will tell if they will hold up. No promises yet.

I think everybody should be pretty happy, I know I am. This is actually V2 of the wheels for me. The first set was more of a standard wheel. I was struggling with being competitive on pricing. Props to everybody who makes a standard type wheel and can make some profit off of it. These wheels should be just a touch over half of what my standard wheels would have cost if that gives you a slight clue.

I've had mine for a week now.
Easily the coolest wheel I've ever encountered!

I can't wait to get them on the rocks.
