Great looking rig DTP!! I don't know how I missed this till now. Great idea on the Maxx diffs. I wonder how long that R2D will survive the wrath of the 5T Cobalt? Easy on the throttle there buddy. |

| dtp isn't running an r2d.............it's a "frankenstein'd" original r2 tranny that's been "bruised" alittle . i've got a 10T cobalt in my rig with the same tranny set-up and it's holding up fine so far.

| Grizz, I built this driveline for bulletproofness. I know the gears in the R2 are probably the weak point or at the least a high wear concern. This is an original pre-order R2. I've just got around to using it. I hope it holds up. I got the 5t for wheel speed & some sweet jumps. |

Not knocking the setup at all. Just wait till you see how fast a 5T can spin on 11.1V. I just don't think the R2 gears will last long but I could certainly be wrong. How about some info on the parts used to make those front axle shafts. I see steel yokes. |

I'll start from the center out. Maxx spool. Highlift yolk to pede yolk, you need to press the small pin out, then back in with the HL yolk. Cut TLT CVD's. R2J knuckles. Custom bent C's. I know what you're saying about the gears. I've seen the ones others have destroyed. I hope it'll last. |

| It was quite fun trying to figure out how we'd make it all work. And to think it all started with a vision, yeah ok, I seen the poulsons. I just didn't want the plastic AE diffs. Quote:
Now go build that tuber. | |

Did a little work to Agent Fat Cat today. Got the cobalt in, used the same 12t pinion it had with the og revolver. MM & BEC are in. I had a problem with the spectrum RX wanting to bind when I plugged in the batt. So I did what every n00b should do, SEARCH!!! Guess what? I found the answer. With spectrum RX, you need to remove the signal wire from the BEC. Problem solved. I see what Grizz was talking about, this thing is fast. It also has awsome low speed resolution. It can crawl & hit some sweet jumps! I think I need to dial out some drag brake though. The motor doesn't even spin on it's own, combined with the R2, it's just way too much, it almost endos when I let off full throttle. |

Hell yeah, i'll vouch for DTP ...............his rig was doing some real crazy sh!t!!!!! the wheel spin was unreal, i was laughing my a$$ off when he got on the throttle. after i saw his rig go like that i wanted to try it on mine with one of his packs and the rig went straight for my shop door and flew it open . i was laughing my a$$ off. looks like you got your rock racer to now DTP . during this time that i have helped out DTP with his rig, it has been an honor to help him. just like all my other friends that i help (young version, shut d's, kaotik crawler, etc............you know who you are). it's always been a pleasure helping and wrenching with you guys . it's always more fun to wrench with good friends than wrenching alone . |
