Arrow Agent Fat Cat

Needed to come up with a cool name, so to spite Naz-t & K9popo, I came up with this. Ever since I saw Agent J, I've loved that thing. K9poopoo sells his Fat Dogs, so you can see how the name came about.

I contacted Mike Poulson about his axles, also asked Gimbal if I could use his tuber for design cues for this.

Mike got back to me, telling me the axles were still awhile away from being available. I asked if I could make my own version & he said go or it.

I decided to use Maxx diffs instead of TC4's. I know these will be bulletproof. Connected to the diffs are custom univrsals made from a Highlift driveshaft yolk & a metal Pede yolk. Axleshafts are RCP TLT CVD's cut down to size. The main axle support s 1" AL w/custom axles C's. R2J TLT knuckles take care of the steering.

Front axle

The rear uses Maxx shafts & are locked straight.

Here is the start of the frame. It has stianless steel skid instead of AL. I think the SS will glide cross rocks better that AL. There are no shock mounts on it yet.

Thanks, alot of the credit goes to o5acoma, he did almost all of the fab & welding. I just did some small things here & there. I tried brazing, not too good. Ryde has way more experience, so I let him do it. I wanted it nice.

Got more pics, they're uploading now.

Got it powder coated extreme chrome w/clear. It's more like metalic silver than chrome. Exactly what I wanted.

It's a roller now.

Can you say CLEARANCE

Full droop, more clearance

Flex.....time to have sex!!!

BIG thanks goes out to o5tacoma @ RYDEfab. The badest RC fabricator in Hawaii. He kicks everyone elses ass. They don't even come close. Thanks Ryde.

Well that was fast. Looks great. I love the shock mounts. What are you going to do for panels?

you are very welcomed sheldon. when you first came to me about this idea you had, i was DAMN!!! you want to make WHAT??!! it was a challenge but it is coming together nicely . it simply was a pleasure working with you on this, but i will never make another one again ! you knew exactly what you wanted and that made building it awhole lot easier. simply put, this thing actually turned out to be an awesome looking rig and bulletproof to the MAXX .

now that the "fat cat" is out of the bag.............wait till you see the tranny . thanks again for the props sheldon, it's a pleasure working with you . now i have to get started on my "top secret" rig . shoots, see you at the "garage" later on .

You know, it was supposed to be a secret. Then some jackasses hacked Ryde's photobucket. Oh well, that's how they are on the west side. You know better than anybody how close it was last season. Gotta step it up.
