Codyboy, Mine did the same thing...Exactly. I have talked to Traxxas support who kicked it up to they're app engineers. I even wrote almost your exact words on the Traxxas Link forum and got no replies yet.
If you have a minute, Get on the Traxxas Community "Link" forum and chime in on my thread. Just trying to let the Traxxas guys know that more than one person is having this problem.

Thanks for replying, I just sent them a email, I tried to reply to your post in their site but I'm not a member. When I tried to register I got a notice saying site was down for maintenance.

Codyboy, have you tried to either update the app or delete the app all together and reinstall it? Might be worth a try. Def. sounds like an issue solely with the software/app. Hope you get it resolved.

Also check phone and tablet OS up to date.

I still don't like the "2.2 vs 1.9" big deal. Some 1.9s are taller than other 2.2s . Just spit out you're trying a 5.5in tall tire. Or whatever OD it is.

This is true. I've got some 2.2s that are not as tall as some 1.9s. But generally speaking a 2.2 is taller.

Most 2.2 tires are significantly wider than 1.9s as well.

Even if your 2.2 isn't much taller than a big 1.9, the 2.2 could be up to a half inch wider (like a OG 2.2 Flat Iron vs the popular big 1.9s) which creates it's own potential clearance issues.

I'd say don't put big 2.2 tires on it.

I'm thinking about some small ones for mine. Something like the og flatirons or rc4wd Baja MTZ. Which are now C2 legal.

Drove about 4 hours on sunday and it was a blast.
The servo is weak and I lost a lower spring holder or what ever it's called. The rod ends on the shocks have a 7mm outer diameter and all the spares I had were for 6mm rod ends. Changed the ends on the shocks.

It is really great fun to drive this with the diffs open. You really need to think about tire placement. Not very good at climbing on steep hills because the body weight but coming down is very enjoyable.

All in all I'd say the TRX is worth the big prise.

Ok, I just talked with traxxas support and this is what I was told. There is a problem with the Traxxas APP and any android phone or tablet. Their engineers are working on a fix, but no guess on when it will be working correctly!!!! You'd think that they would have already had a fix for this, haven't Android phones been around for awhile??? Thinking about setting up my GT3C with a 8 channel receiver in my truck and call it good. That way I can operate my diff lockers in any sequence I want and have ports for lights, and my servo winch.
Anyone else heard anything different than this?
If your having the same problem call Traxxas support at 1-888-872-9927 and report it, maybe the more complaints they get the quicker it will be fixed!

Iphone this morning has app update for Traxxas link, says it addresses issue with XO-1 unlocking. App version 5.62.2, 84.8MB, but nothing about Android.

Yes, Android has been out a long time, but every time Google makes a major change to the OS a percentage of the normally functioning apps will act weird or lose functionality until the app developer patches the app. Most developers use beta OS builds to make sure their apps will be ok, but there's so many different Android phone configurations that they can't possibly test them all.....

After owning several Androids and supporting numerous smartphones, rooting etc, I switched to iPhone, because they just work and everybody gets the OS updates, not just the "cool" brand new phones.

Hopefully Traxxas gets the fix for Android users.

You also only have access to apps Apple decides you should have, lol (unless you wanna jailbreak). But I get why a lot of people go that route...

And I've used and seen many buggy and or nonworking android apps that drain batteries and make the phone slow n hot, but everyone has their preference.
