Yep, wheel wells that came in the kit. 12.3" wheelbase.

Awesome build. I'm looking into picking up the kit version and was thinking about using this body as well. Good to know the issues you had with the rear wheel wells. Nothing better than a vintage truck with tall skinny tires. I may be using a lot of your ideas in my build.

Great looking build! Looks like a freshly restored old Chevy pickup!

My TF2 is painted with that stuff and, from what I was told by the guy that painted it, it's a royal pain to paint with, but in the end it looks awesome and seems to be OK durability wise.
It’s got Tamiya silver between it and the lexan. It’s been holding up fine, but it sucks and I’ll never use the “2X” version again on lexan. I screwed up and used it on this truck by accident or it wouldn’t be on there. It doesn’t finish well or look nearly as nice as Tamiya paint does.

Do it to it man, that’s the reason I post pics and explanations - to share ideas and lessons learned.

Speaking of, the knockoff TSL’s with CI single stage foams weren’t working good enough. I’ve swapped some RockBeast 2’s with Proline Dual stage foams, but I like the 4.5” tires a lot better, looks wise. Haven’t decided what new direction to go with tires yet.

Oh yea, another lesson learned - you have to “drive these bumpers” and pick good lines, as they hang up a lot of you don’t.

I'm looking at running the Pro Line BFG's All Terrains. 4.35" tall and 1.42" wide should give me the look I'm after. I want to run a winch so I've been looking at the SSD winch bumper for the Traxxas Bronco body. Probably even mess up approach angle even more but I'm building this to be more of trail truck anyway. You got pictures with the Rockbeasts on?
