^Is the wheels/tires/rims I went for

I ordered dual stage foams too. They where just 36$ for all four, including shipping.

Well, I got a few parts today...

Still missing something I think

Shocks, and linkages, and the rear portal gears..

I noticed I ran out of screws for the linkages, they are to short to also hold the shocks on..

Oh well

On to the shocks.

I put the softest springs in, and filled them with 35 wt oil.

First screw...

I mean... don't buy tools from/made in China. Taiwan, Germany, Austria, USA, sure.. But China meh...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/374067759967

Sigh... It couldn't even tighten 1 single goddamned screw before it rounded off, completely... Hardened steel my butt...

I wasn't actually trying to cheap out. Finding 1/4" hex 2mm 65mm long bits isn't that easy.

- Seller gave me a partial refund though, and swore, this had never happened before, and the factory swore it is S2 steel... uhm.. lol

I might have to settle on 50mm bits...

I'm a bit late to this party, but I'm definitely interested to see how this turns up. I'm on the same boat as you, with all the spare TRX parts and had my eyes on these Injora chassis.

Someone should have warned you in advance about the Transluscent colors. They don't play well with dark backing colors. They need something bright or shiny to pop out. This was supposed to look like a pink G500 for my daughter

Turned out like this when I backed it with black, but hey, lesson learned

Well, I don't mind the color, I think it looks cool from most angles. Though I did make a mess of the finish with all the runs... so some places it does not look that good.

I think the chassis came to Norway today, so give it a week or two, and I should have it.

Oh wow.... This thing seems to be of very high quality.

It uses 4 relays, 3Amps/28v each, so powering the winch isn't an issue, it also has 3 outputs.
1 for the winch, and two for lights, the lights have two modes each too.

On/off and blinking.

It came in a proper aluminum housing, thick and heavy duty. It's not waterproof by default, but that's easily remedied. I coated the pcb in conformal coating potting stuff, it turns hard after a bit, also chopped off the extra wires I won't use. I sealed the case with the above mentioned potting compound. Technically, it's sold as "Liquid Electrical tape" But it works great for permanently sealing electronics.

It also worked fine on 3S, nothing got warm.. Winch is really strong..

Dang it, I ran out of female JST connectors again... Oh well, 225 male and 225 female connectors ordered

Well, Big parcel came today

I got the new wheels, I must say they didn't take long considering they where sent from China. The quality seems very good.

They are extremely soft, and very sticky, Although the listing didn't specify, they did also come with foams preinstalled. These are single stage, and a lot softer than the stock TRC-4 Tires.

Metal rims, with metal center hub (looks like plastic at first glance, but is aluminium)

The new diffs I ordered did not fit, like at all...

I had to grind off a few mm for them to fit the axle housing at all, Eventually, I did get both diffs mounted with minimal drag... 1 screw-head was also pre-stripped out on both diffs... lol

But now, both axles are more or less complete, just missing one portal gear, and the axle stubbs...

Seems good!

Box was a bit banged up, but the content was ok.

It came with detailed instructions, and drawings on the gearbox, and how to assemble the frame.

A servo horn, body mount/shock towers, and three bags of screws

Well, still missing some vital parts, mainly the portal shafts, but also 1x portal gear...

I am also missing some screws for the suspension, mainly the rear shocks are not attached to the axle....

So, All the electronics work, I've adjusted the endpoints for the steering servo and the shift motor.

I must admit I like the feel of that ecoboost servo.

The linkage kit I got from Injora must have been a high lift set or something, as the rear links in particular was way too long vs what they are supposed to be stock..

Let me tell you I spend ages getting them right... lol

I found out the shortest links where 133mm center to center fully screwed together, and they where supposed to be 123mm, so the longest where supposed to be 127 mm, what I did was to add 5 mm to the longer ones, so I ended up with 133mm and 137mm respectfully for the rear arms/links.. No idea what that does to the wheelbase.. I guess time will show.

I really like the shocks so far, the front suspension feels really nice.

It may be a while for the next update though, as 1 of the portal gears is on back order. And the screw kit was just sent from China...

It flew everywhere, even into the hallway.

Ouch, feel your pain, done similar a long while ago, on a deep pile carpet, had to put a fresh bag in the hoover and went over the carpet loads of times and some are still in the carpet today

Store got that final missing portal gear in stock today, and it was shipped, so hopefully I'll get it before christmas.
Rear shocks are not attached as of yet, waiting for the right size screws.

Still waiting for the radio box, screw kit, and uhm.. I guess that's about it for now.

I'll do the wiring properly when I get the radio box. The winch/controller etc is all in place and working good. Tow hitch is in place too.

Tires/wheels look great, steering is lovely, I like the feel of that eco boost

I got the Receiver box and 2 stage tire foams today.

I also got Covid.

So, although I installed the tire-foams, and the radio box, I didn't finish up due to the energy not being present.

Tire-foams that where in the tires, was not bad at all. but the 2 stage one feels nicer. This also gave me the chance to examine the wheels properly, and to nobody's surprise, the guy who assembled it in China, did a semi sloppy job. The wrong part of the rubber was pinched on two of the wheels, and some screws had obviously been forced where there was no holes. Thankfully, nothing you can see when the wheels are fitted.

I need to splice the wires to the gear change servo, as the supplied wire from Injora is extremely short.

I think you should see what the return period is on this and get a refund

Seriously though, hopefully it goes away quickly and without any medical complications.

Great looking build man, keep up the good work
