I'm at work today, but I had a clip on my camera with a look at the battery tray. It's uploading now.

Quick clip of the battery mount.

I like the idea of weight on the front axle, but I don't like that approach in Scaler Land™.

That's the one issue I have with the kit currently. I will address this issue soon. The driveshafts held up fine yesterday, but I didn't really punish the truck so I need way more time before I know how they'll hold.

The issue is with the front axle input shaft side. The angle isn't very steep but the driveshaft still binds and makes the suspension chatter at low/mid RPM's. This isn't really noticeable during driving but it's not right. I talked with Rich about this and they are going to look into it and see if a part can be modified during production. If any changes are made, they will not be incorporated on the first batch of trucks. Rich said that out of the 8 people out driving the trucks that I'm the only one to bring it up but it is repeatable on the other samples they have.

I have fixed the issue on my truck with a little modification, but I think this is something that Vaterra needs to address personally. I have video of this, but haven't posted it just yet.

I'm waiting to hear tomorrow. I want to know if the input shaft piece was not machined properly or not designed properly.

The stock angle is not that bad, I think that the shaft should be able to work at this angle without an issue.

Again, it's not the end of the world and the truck still works as is. The fix I did was pretty easy but did require drilling a new hole.

The turk seems to have great steering, as noted before. Since the body is so large, I'm curious how well it would fit on a SCX-10 chassis.

I really hope that we get a bunch of new big bodies to match the size of this one.

Harley,
Sorry if I missed it: Are you using the foams from the kit? (You mentioned wheels and tires in post 11, but I didn't see foam info) Any thoughts?
Thank you

I agree but it does seem hidden fairly well.

It's very well hidden, and unless the feature was pointed out, most people would never know.

Like I said, I think it's super trick. However I have a feeling that the rules guys will disagree I'm not changing it unless I'm competing in a SORCCA event though.

This new kit is catching my eye. I might sell my WW1.9 Wraith and get one of these.
