I think he's asking the hex thickness?

my guess is he is asking about the drive/sheer pin that goes through axle into the hex /

The pin the hex attaches to the axle with. Thanks again.

Oh the question I forgot to ask the steering arms are they eye to eye the same as the lnc like the t/h? If so I am going to be more happy with the rig.

I've got a little bit of a random question. The manual shows there are 2.8x14mm screws on one of the axles. Is this a typo? Are they really 2.5x14mm? Never seen 2.8mm

They seem like a 2.5mm screw.

Thanks. Seems like a dumb question, but I'm looking at replacing the hardware with stainless. Just want to check. I thought the 2.8mm screw was weird.

The hardware in this kit was nice quality steel. I wouldn't change it out to stainless right away. I would stay with this and see how the corrosion resistance is.

It's not an error. It is a screw that was developed for our touring cars. Basically it's like a 4-40 thread with a 2.5mm head. it will bite better into plastic parts. You can switch to a 3mm screw but I would recommend tapping the parts before you do as the holes are smaller.

Interesting fact. Thanks for the clarification.

Hey Harley.... On the bag with the slides and bumpers there is a bag with plastic spacers.. I don't see any where in the manual where these would go... Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks

I believe the spacers are to adjust the width of the sliders for different bodies.

I just finished bag A and I have to admit, I am glad I went through with this purchase. I am really impressed with the quality and attention to detail. The motor plate is a little thicker than what I usually see, the hardware does seem to be of good quality. There is even a tiny rubber o-ring to hold the screw in the spur gear cover. Apparently I'm not the only one who leaves the screws in the spur gear cover and ends up losing them.

Thanks crazydave.... I was thinking that to but wasn't sure.. It was a after thought based on it being stapled to the outside of the bag..

I'm glad to hear you guys are pleased with the quality of this kit. I only have one other crawler, an scx10 jk kit that I am happy with but when I saw this and started reading some on it I thought this might be next next crawler. You guys helped make that decision easier.

Hey harley, nice build! I probably missed it but what pinion size and motor/esc did you put in the kit? Did you change anything after a few runs? Also are the spur pinion gears 32p?

Stock spur, 14t pinion gear. It's 48p.

ESC is a Holmes BRXL ad the motor is a Crawlmaster Expert 13t. I love these motors, super smooth if you are a low speed crawler. Overall top end is about like a 27t motor.

I like the larger size body. I hope to see more of it. I think it is easer to get better looking scale this way. I did a custom build with a 1/6 scale Gladiator and cut the body down to 22.5'' to get the look and size I wanted. I think that the kit will do well on the market.

I agree wth he Crawlmasters. Can i ask what you think is the biggest pinion gear that would fit the stock spur, or if the stock spur is replaceable by aftermarket 32p spurs?

Not sure on the pinion size. The spur gear is typical Losi style and the same as the twin hammers. I would check over there and see if those guys have been converting.
