Another question, is there major differences between the Blazer and Bronco, other than a different body, shorter wheelbase and servo mount?

Will the MIP driveshafts fit both?

No difference between the two other than what you just mentioned.

MIP driveshaft set for Ascender Blazer:
MIP X-Duty C-Drive Kit, Vaterra K-5 Blazer Ascender #14295

I don't see a set specifically for the Bronco, but something could prolly be pieced together, email MIP and see:

Here's a good price for the MIP driveshafts. I love mine.

They are pretty damn strong, major upgrade over the stock shaft while still being light and cheap. I would try them first and see how they hold up, then go to a steel shaft if you need something stronger.

Cheers for the advice.

So far I'm pulling wheelies on concrete (I'm geared for speed ) so maybe I should take a look. For the price they seem great!

The trans are the same. You mean the MIP output piece that incorporates the u-joint is slightly longer, correct?

X2, I haven't broken one yet, buy I'm sure with ROC412 or something it's a matter of time, but they are much stronger than Axials.

Much stronger than Axials is a understatement.

I had to shorten my rear shaft while switching to the Bronco wheelbase. My Craftsman cutters could barely make a dent in the Vaterra shafts, the same cutters go through Axial shafts with ease (cut down another Axial shaft last night so I know they aren't dull yet). Broke out the Dremel to cut down the Vaterra plastic driveshaft.

Nice, looking forward to a durability comparison between Vaterra and GPM CVDs. Did you break the small pin on the beater too?

A little off topic but it looks like the new Losi Baja Rey scale desert truck has the ascender HD tail shaft in the rear, at least the plastic shafts. That thing looks awesome! Thinking it will be my first desert truck. I just watched it do damn near 50 mph passes on 3s while pulling a wheelie on losi Facebook.
They must have faith in the ascender HD tail shaft too.

Agreed, that is the only desert truck I've seen that looks promising.
