Thanks! So it sounds like it isn't the best crawler out of the box.?

I would love to see some raw video of this thing

In your testing did you leave the front diff open?

I would love to pick this up, but runtime is too short to hold my attention. I need 30 min minimum bash/crawl time. It's one of the main reasons I got into scalers. I suppose a slower motor could work, but this truck seems like it is meant for bashing. Traxxas needs to make a version of this truck.

You can crawl just fine with it. Going through gates with an open front diff is not easy. But why would there be gates, this is a race up and over them with a boundry or something. I've ran it though some V notches, bound it up in high gear and it held up great.

Open, I never had a locker sent to me. I ran it with stock RTR parts for all my testing.

Runtime is what you make of it. Bind it up in 2nd gear your gonna dump. Drive it like Miss Daisy and you'll have plenty of sugar for the tea party down the road.

Do you think the axial light buckets will fit . Maybe a little dremel action on those stickers.

i think u throw the new body on that has no lights on top and grab the new VP ridge light bar.
i think that would look killer on this truck.

I remember getting 5-10 minutes bashing and HOPING batteries would last a full 4 minute races back in the early 90's when I was a kid. It blows my mind that I was out last weekend running with a group of people for HOURS and most of us only changed battery once each.

When I saw this section had popped up, I was pretty excited. When I saw Rubba had a thread I was even more excited!! I usually read Badger's threads first but decided to see what Jay was up to instead

The run time seems reasonable...how easy is it to swap out the battery?

I might have to add one of these to the stable. Something to bridge the gap between the crawlers and the EXO. I hate gaps

That's what extra batteries are for

No worm gears. I thought the rear axle had worm gears in it just because of the shape, but traditional r&p gears.

I too would like to know how easy it is to swap out batteries

Thanks Juan

The batterys in the back behind the shocks and uses a velco strap to hold it in place. It takes about 1 minute to swap a pack (almost too long of a wait)

I forgot to use my sarcasm emoticon in my post I was just razzing Saydee with some Rubba/Losi humor

I didn't realize this section has been up for so long. Been kind of busy lately and only pop into RCC briefly. The more I see of this, the more I want one.
