thanks greatly for your input tachikoma the comments realy keep me motivated with the build , i chose that type lightbar after reading multiple posts like yourself of the single bar type getting ripped off , the fastrax one has a bit more guts to it on the mounting points . and its stainless steel so quite strong , i also fitted the mip x drive steel rear prop shaft last night , thanks again for your input folks , it means a lot

hope you guys reading this can help me here and please report your findings with the xd shock pistons ?? i have built mine using the 2 hole pistons as the rear of the standard hammers as we all know suffers from bad droop and is far to soggy , i have excelent fast rebound and stiffned up the damping enough to stop the soggy rear but not enough to reduce the twising ability of the axle , if anyone has used or tried the 3 and 4 hole pistons please leave a little input to save me a gallon of shock oil having to rebuild mine a few times thanks greatly in advance ....

i moved the front shock mounts into the shock plate fixing bolt position from the original mounting points at 65mm , they are now 75mm exactly for the xd piggys , the rockers wont be affected as the top of the shock had been moved , the bottom is still in exact original position ,

I'll post and fallow this build. Your trying out a lot of stuff I'm thinking of getting. I'm in the process of a getting stuff together for my build. It'll be a while before I start my own build thread & most of the upgrades will come at a snails pace. Looking forward to read your thoughts on the hot racing stuff.

There are a lot of great reviews on using the 500k. I may be switching back to an open diff and trying that out. My locker doesn't allow for tight turns and the steering is limited as it is.

Lovely work fella - like what you've done with the front shocks - I'll be keeping an eye open to see how they work out. Are you getting extra travel?

I love my 103XD's on the rear of mine - I'm running the 3 hole pistons on mine and seem to be working OK so far but time will tell. I'm using the oil that came with the it BTW, not actually sure what weight that is.

Like you I run 500K oil in the front diff. I think it strikes a good balance for crawling/bashing which is what I tend to do.

I had to replace my steering servo recently but still way too much slop in that set up so going tho have to take the plunge on an upgrade soon.

Keep up the good work fella. I'm off to play in the woods with my EXOTrooper.
