| Klampyz Creeper
Hi guys, just picked up my first creeper. Ive already ripped in and changed a bunch of stuff, and discovered its very second hand. what i was wondering, do Axial Wraith Chubs and knuckles fit the hex on the axle housings? heres a shot of mine so far. that body has gone back to its original truck, and i have an MJ Commanche body coming. |

No the axial chubs don't fit. I think the scx knuckles may fit though. Not 100% on that though.

Check out WinnerOne23's thread. He did the xr mod. And I believe he still has the parts for it. You might have to dig back but it is worth looking at an reading. Looking good so far |

ok just a "small" update... AR60 parts dont fit. but, they CAN! firstly, what i found inside when i opened them up.. :/ so all cleaned up and back together with some minor hex modding comes up with this. but they are to wide for the stock axles. so some trimming was required. and it required even more after that^ had to trim the inner housing as well as take more off the Chub for a narrower fit. and then we skip ahead with some changes to the chassis layout, running an R2 tranny with a HPI reduction gearbox as well, and the Venom 13.5t BL setup... |

couple pics from todays little stuff around. and heres the old chassis setup that i just threw together to get something running. changed the way the suspension works, threw together an upper mount/bumper (its not pretty but its getting changed again sorta soonish.) which yielded a much more upright stance. and it still flexes decent. could actually afford to remove one of the two droop springs i fitted into the savage shocks to limit travel and then with the 2.2s |

Good job changing over to the Wraith steering parts, I did this a while back on the bench on a couple Creeper axles but got side tracked from it. I've ran Creeper's for quite a while. |

Thanks for the positive words guys. I guess I'd better update this thread eh i drove it for a few packs, and ill say i was happy with how it drove and flexed etc, but it was really annoying me that it wasnt "scale" with the TVP chassis n all... so i thought id change that. and heres how it looks right this minute |

decided today that id weigh the chassis to see how im travelling weight wise. and so far it weighs 1.93kg as chassis, skid, links, axles and wheels/tires. heres a mock up to see how the shocks are standing up to it at full weight. im rather pleased. and then actually managed to stuff a 4th tire under it with all four on the ground. !! |

| Re: Klampyz Creeper its not actually a titan motor in there, but im 99% sure its going to be by friday. currently 35t crawler motor on a Hpi GRU mounted to an RC4wd R2 powering an RC4wd (hammer?) transfer case. and yes, on 7.2v NiMh its incredibly SLOW. despite having MASSIVE power/torque. and a shot from today before i destroyed a Venom CVD shaft. |

thanks for the words guys going to be slipping in a set of SCX CVs from RC4wd. fingers crossed they line up, and then tossing up between swapping the motor for a 12t Titan, or just removing the GRU for more wheel speed. |

after todays test-n-tune sesh, i realised i have no where near enough wheel speed. so i swapped in a Velineon brushless motor and the 45a BLESC i got with the creeper. just hope it doesnt chew out my batteries too quickly compared to the 27t brushed setup i was running. and i got sick of the suspension wanting to fall over all the time, so i added an internal set of springs and changed from AX10 shocks to Wraith shocks to limit rear flex a little and stiffen the rear up. and also swapped for some 2.2 rims. im contemplating running the 2.2 treps on this rig, and it may even get a set of AR60 axles as well... time will tell. this is my favourite shot so far. its just so beefy looking |

couple shots from the comp. the truck did TERRIBLY in the comp. but for the fact i built this to do trail running/crawling, not competition level crawling, it did pretty darn well, so in that i am rather pleased with its power despite being 4.3kg. im in the process of stripping the chrome from the rims maybe even convert to scale hardware on the BL rings, and then ill do a full revamp, knowing i have a bit more time to spare, more rearranging of elecs, adding lights, possibly a new replacement shell.. definitely gotta strip the chassis and paint it properly, a new panhard diff mount, etc. just little things, but its all in the detail. when is a rig ever actually "finished" tho... |
