| Local va beach rock course
Hi guys, I'm thinking about trying to set up a local outdoor rock course and I'm trying to see if there would be any interest in some of the local guys donating a little help and money to get the stones. It'll be in a Public location for anyone to use but it may be more than I really want to swing myself. I'll give more details later if it can be done, but I'm just seeing what interest there is before I get too deep into this project. Post up here with any ideas or willingness to help out the cause. |

I am new to this and in Richmond, but I have family in Va Beach, and go down there quite a bit. It sounds like a great idea. I would help out as much as possible.

Thanks so far guys, this is what I was hoping for, some interest in this. Like I said right now I'm gauging interest and another guy is helping talking to the property owners, hopefully I'll know tonight if this can be done or not. Once I know for sure about the location I'll start getting prices on se decent stone and all that as I really don't want to use broken up concrete, at least not for the majority of it. If we use it for some fill material that's cool but I'd like to have some actual rocks. Again I'll keep you guys updated as I know more info.

Post up asap... there is a new house being built w/ lots of scrap wood laying around... I figure we could use that for elevations and such to save some rock and money

Most defenitely, hopefully I'll know if I/we can go forward with this endeavor by tonight or tomorrow, if so then we will have a nice spot to play around on, test and tune, and maybe even have a couple of GTG's at least locally.

I haven't seen that post yet, but it may be at least a start, heck if each person willing to help out bought one wheel barrow load then that would get us started at least. that with some lumber to make elevation changes wouldn't be too bad.

I've been to mariners house a cpulls of times, nice guy and course for sure. This one I'm looking at doing is actually on comercial land and I don't think it'll be an issue but I've gor another guy working that angle for me since he knows the owner. If this works out it'll be a nice place I think. |

I can get lots of rock- just need help loading it up. I live 30 mins from the state line, 15 from Moyock. I have a truck, its just taking the time to load it! I work in V Beach daily, so it won't be a problem either way |
