The Holmes Puller Pro BL 540XL 3500kv the YETI Grail?

my 540xl 3500kv gets better and better. I feel like after a few weeks of running it has smoothed out greatly and feels more powerful now than day one. I did have a bit of a mechanical failure on our last run. seems a bearing seized up and I noticed a slight amount of drag but it went away. only for a moment... the motor didn't give one single fudge about the seized bearing. it ripped it to shreds and blew the c clip out of the end of my currie axle trashing one of the tubes... :/ so a new set of tubes are on the way. ill pay more attention to binding now. and not just drive through it.

So is the roc412 3100 but I put 4s to it on last trail run with my wraith could not believe the difference didnt even get warm. Thinking of hh540xl for rr10"thumbsup"

My buddy has the regular sized Puller Pro in his Wraith on 4S and it has the power to do standing backflips without getting more than warm. I can only imagine what a XL version on 4S in a RR10 would do.

Is it really worth swapping out the stock yeti motor for the Holmes Puller Pro BL 540XL 3500kv? What would you guys guess percentage wise the power is over the stocker? I already am running a MMP and looking for more top speed.

I'm seeing a lot of MMP ESC's combined with this motor but I haven't seen one Tekin RX8 mentioned, is there a specific reason?

I'm considering this motor for either my RR10 or 2-speed Yeti with my recently acquired a 1st gen RX8.

RX8 will work if you've got it.
The MMP pro has all the features needed, costs $80 less, is lighter etc.
That's likely why they are used more.
I use the MMP in many cars, has never let me down.

I'm wondering this too.

Yes the motor is bad for the bone worth the investment. 43/13 axle, 64/ 12 32 p , axial 2 speed ,3cell mmp, my bomber crawls and hauls in both gears, could probably go up to 18 pinion and still have all the low. "thumbsup"

I think the holy grail on the 1/10 Yeti starts with 4S power. Right now the Pro4hd 2500kv or Holmes Puller Pro XL 2100kv are the top motors. I tried a Pro4hd 3000kv and blew it on 4S.

I installed the 540XL with the Mamba Monster X and omg!
What a difference from the RTR...
I ran for 10 minutes outside and I'm still questioning myself why took me so long to buy this setup...
Geared 15/64 have great final speed and still great torque, plus the 2 speed, I think even will be good for an eventual crawl.
Now I can't wait for next U4 race.
