I love/hate bilstiens. Damn things can be a "pain" if you can't keep them compressed to a certain length.

But I got all 4 on so thats scratched off the list

I got both t-cases filled and the old brackets cut off the seats...

So I have been trying like heck to get this thing done to go to exhaust and I had a deadline due to other rigs coming in.

Chris had gotten these electric seats that came out of some toy--but of course they were not right. So I reworked the mounts and got them bolted in.

He dropped off the driveshafts--threw the rear in and was all ready to drive it out last night----no movement.

So I could feel movement in the front case (you know how when you shift it you can feel the gears moving) but nothing in the rear case.

I jacked the rear up and with everything in gear(trans in park) and the rear case in 4wd I can spin the rear output--and it feels like skipping splines.

So this morning I pulled the back case----Ok I am pretty sure the doubler is 23 spline and the rear case is not...... Well fawk...

Well guess what finally showed up..

Chris dropped off another case but I went ahead and pulled the one that was in the rig apart and inspected it--all looked good on the inside so I chose to just use that one.

So when I originally drained the t-case's to pull them this was sitting on the magnet and to me it looked like a ball that was used to lock a gear to a shaft and not a detent ball.

So this is where we kinda got lucky on this whole mess--I found where the ball goes. Its to lock the speedo gear to the main shaft--without it the gear could have easily spun on the main shaft and caused some headaches down the road to figure it all out..

So the case it all back together and I found a flange on the other case for the front drive shaft--so its ready to go back in and I will do that monday since I will be gone this weekend.

Once the front settles it should be almost level. But it moves under its own power now.

So its ready for exhaust and once thats done I have a few odds/ends to tie up and then double check stuff...

So Chris took it to get exhaust and I can say I was not 100% impressed. I had a location for both o2 sensors but the bungs were not placed in the correct areas and used welded flanges on the exhaust side.

But its the typical under the oil pan Y-pipe.

So I had to pull the wiring back out for the back of the motor and re-do it. Both both o2 sensors are now fully wired in making the engine wiring now 100% done.

Driver side

Passenger side

I also forgot one circuit for the 4x4 lamp so I ran that circuit to finish up the rest of the wiring.

So I ran the motor for a while and the p0340 (cam sensor) reset again so I went thru and checked voltages/grounds and all checked out--so I have a problem with the sensor but I need to bring my scanner home and finish checking it out.

So I took it for a drive around the block a couple times but its really low on fuel so that was short.

What the heck---did what I could in 2wd (open rear).

Great thread, good to see people actually take the time to do things right and not just throw stuff together.
