HOLY CRAP i thought that was your 1:1 sitting in your driveway. Its funny most people copy thier 1:1 but in your case, you need to make your 1:1 look like your 1:10. Nice man really nice! Im working on getting a Rastar LR3 now!

Any progress on getting the roof rack mounted?
Cool-only my 1:1 is a little tamer! I am second guessing the roof rack. I think it came out a little too big (tall) to look scale-not sure if I am going to use it-

Ha! It's a lot cheaper to do mods in 1/10th scale. Appreciate the comments-

I just started a build quite similar to this just yesturday but I am using a 1/12 scale audi Q7 from Radstar. What frame would you suggest for this build?

Cool-never seen one in 1/12-If you have the ability to braze or weld, then I would either shorten an Axial frame or make one from square metal tubing. If not, then I would try a CC-01 chassis by Tamiya.

I don't have the capability to weld here so I guess I'm going to try and find a cc-01 chassis. At first I was going to try and use the plastic bottom that came with the Audi and just beef it up but I am haveing second thoughts about that cause I will be using it for towing my CK.

CC-01 is pretty reliable-and will tuck under better than the TA-02, although only the front has independent suspension. The rear is a live axle. If you do start the build, please post pics-sounds cool. Where did you find a 1/12 Q7? All I see are 1/14.

Took a stab at another roof rack. This one is more scale and is fashioned after the one made by Rover Racks-first pic. Still in progress but getting there-need to add a few more pieces and straighten some stuff out.

Looks great. How capable is the ta-02 chassis off road? I never thought that an IFS and IRS rig would do good compared to something like an SCX10 or even the CC01.

I can tell you without even driving it that is will be good for trail use-and some very mild climbing. Maybe on par with the CC-01 but not even close to an SCX 10-but then again we are talking scale here-the ground clearance on this build is better than my 1:1 and has the same type of suspension-

That roof rack looks fantastic. This is one of my favorite builds right now.

Thanks man! It actually looks a little better since those pics-I tweaked it a bit-and now it has been sandblasted and painted-will post pics tonight-maybe I'll even have time to mount it up-

Thanks-I just need to learn how to fab sheet metal like you do....The rack is a combo if 1/8 for the top and bottom rails and 1/16 for the tray pieces.
