I still have it. It has been sitting on the shelf but it is still intact. The bodies are still around but they are getting more and more expensive on eBay. I am glad you were able to get some ideas from my build. I get tons of ideas from this forum as well!

Yeah-its been a while since I did anything with this build but I started to futz with it again. Want to do an ARB style front bumper and some other goodies. Swapped the wheels out for some stamped steelies from RC4WD and gave them a matt finish-they work a lot better with these tires for sure. I did the flex shot and some more gratuitous outdoor shots. It runs pretty good, just need to figure out how to upload a video and I'm all set.

Thanks for the feedback. I have not run this thing a lot so hard to tell how the gears hold up long term. So far so good-I think keeping the revs down helps too. Please post info if you wind you building something similar-

I can vouch for the gears. I've been running TA'a since they were released and have never had a gear failure. Great little platforms!

I built a custom brat crawler but it eats parts like candy cvds and gears mostly it runs the ff01 front gear box and the ta02 rear gear box duel brushless motors duel escs and i running 3s but i think its gona be 2s from now on the gear boxes them selfs are failing to the screws pull out so i trough bolted them and the cap breaks i reinforced them with metal and jbweld and the plastic itself is pulling apart and im blowing cvds on every run i have bigger cvds and i am waiting on new bearings to fit the stronger cvds ive stripped about 10 sets of gears about 2 sets a year the first few years it sat on a shelf i got it at the same time as the juggernaught and the clod buster it took me a few years before i started playing with them i also have a few brand new chassies with the scew holes pulled out lol so it now sits on a aluminum chassie the 3800kv brushless motors on 3s might be a bit over kill and the wait might be to much for the platform but hay its fun for a few minnutes lol its posted in the 1.9 section somewere ill try and find a link
