It is finally here. The rebuild of the EVIL YJ is getting close to where I want it. There is a Wrangler build off starting soon over on scale4x4 and i was going to use this body for that build off but i am using a different body now so i figured I would finish this one up while collecting parts for the build off and before starting another project! Made a front bumper/stinger out of solid tube a little brakline and square steel. I also brazed up a light bar and added some lights to the front bumper. I threw some stickers on it and a tow strap. Teaser of the build off Jeep! Last edited by eddievedder; 08-06-2009 at 05:13 AM. |

Wait, another one?!?!?! (The yellow one) That YJ is sick! I love those bodies soo much. I would snag one but they are way too expensive for my budget so far. |

OK I just wanted to show off the new tires. Very SOFT and very STICKY. God job RC4WD. I dont think that I will be sticking with the "stock car" wheels. So, any pics or suggestions of a sweet 0 offset beadlock ( I prefer Beadlock) or non beadlock wheel to help me choose would be much appreciated! thanks Last edited by eddievedder; 08-06-2009 at 05:12 AM. |

those look great on there! I just got a set for the montero and I agree they are sticky and soft. should be good. Did you have any issues with the bead though? Mine arrived and the bead was a bit deformed, due probably to being so soft. They wont sit on the wheel perfectly like yours look though. I wonder if they would when glued. p- |

It doesn't look quite as "evil" any more... although it does look great, it needs more black. |

Thanks my friend Quote:
OK so I was looking around for some sweet wheels with a 0 offset. While I put some $$$ a$ide for beadlock$, I figured I would spice up the ones that I have for now. Losi MRC wheels. I took the beadlock ring off of the back of the wheel. I painted them Tamiya Light Gunmetal to color match the body Put the Jeep on jacks to get some work done I glued the rings in place with CA. Then I drilled holes and "bolted" them on. Tire flexes like crazy!!!! I really do like them though. I think the wheels came out pretty good and will do for now until I get some real ones. | |||
