Hey Man, trucks coming along nicely- but please tell me your gonna round the corners on your spring shackles..!! After all the work you've put in so far, little things like that make the HUGE difference in the overall big picture..!! Keep up the great work..! |

Wow never seen that light box before. Do you know if the brake lights go off when you pull the trigger for forward or reverse lights for going into reverse? Site description doesn't say much.

if you copy the picture to your computer and zoom in, it says what features it has on the side if the unit... it works just the tamiya unit, front lights when the esc is on, left and right signals when you turn, reverse lights when the esc goes in reverse, driving lights and (front and side) and break lights when the esc breaks... If RC4WD is watching i want some free stuff because im promoting your product... J/K if you want you can... Quote:
The thrashers are very soft good for a trailer... But the tomahawks are very nice not to soft, not to hard and the Tomahawks are just a bit wider... Thrashers are 1 3/8" wide (35mm) Tomahawks are 1 1/2 wide (40mm) they both are just under 4" tall Last edited by fishfever; 02-14-2009 at 08:44 AM.

Well i called marlin yesterday, because i needed a set of springs for the front because the front were way to tall... So he had a pair in stock and shipped them out and they were here in less then 24 hours, i thought they would take atleast a week or two, because they were a special order the one side has just a bit more lift because its on the engine side... im still waiting for my new rear's???? front mounted spring pics soon im charging my camera battery... here is a few pics of the front... |

This build just keeps getting better and better! I'm a compleate and total newb to 1.1 off road or 1.1 crawling so I'm just wondering what's the deal with 5 shifters? One for tranny one for transfer case ? What about the other three?? Keep it up man I'm realy enjoying this build.

Thanks man, this info is from marlincrawler.com from mikes build... And here's why I choose to go tripple cases and one 4.70, since Im sure many are wondering why... Look at this list of available ratios I can demonstrate: - Stock 2.28:1, 48:1. - Single 4.70:1, 98:1. - Stock dual cases (2.28x2.2, 108:1. - Ultimate dual cases (4.7x2.2, 223:1. - Crazy tripple (4.7x2.28x2.2, 510:1. Marlin's rig is 4.7x4.7x2.28 = 1,047:1, but the problem with his is that he can not show what just a stock dual case (2.28x2.2 looks like. Sure he can put it into one single 4.70, but that's not the same as 2.28x2.28 which is 5.19:1. So I can show my truck to a customer and just work on up the Crawler tree. Also, I've been in situations where I wished I was lower than an Ultimate (4.7x2.2 which is 223:1. So I could have stayed with just dual cases and I could have done what we call an Ultimate "Overkill" which is 4.7x4.7 and I would be 461:1 which is where I want to be, but then Im screwd if I need to use 4WD lowrange on the highway in nasty snow or what ever.. I would be stuck in super low of 4.7 and my max speed in 5th gear low range would be like 15mph or something, SO I really wanted to maintain the stock 2.28:1 low range for the snow/mud/whatever, but I want to be lower than 223:1. So tripple is the only other option. I could have gone just plain ol' tripple cases, 2.28x2.28x2.28, but that would only be 247:1 and would be completely pointless. So I needed 1 set of 4.70s and then two stock sets of 2.28. So now when Im about ready to in my shorts, I can put it in Tripple low and I'm set. Maybe I was spoiled growing up with Marlin's truck. I've used dual 4.7s (461:1) in his rig many times.
