Another small update, I ran out of 3/16 rods, I am heading out to get more. I am pretty proud of how this is coming out, considering I had never worked with metal before yesterday. Its good for my motivation that its working well. |

*The rear links are still too long, I need to remove half and inch off them but I keep waiting because I dont want to cut my MIP... I might move the transfer case plate forward instead, Have not settle on the solution yet.

I recieved 6 RC4WD Out Cropper 1.9 tires. (Nitto Mud Grappler alike) they are looking a bit small based on how used I was to see the RC with taller tires. But they are scale at ~4.18 inches 1:10 scale --> ~41.8 inches 1:1 I just ordered from RPP a bunch of the leftover things I need. King 100mm front King 70mm rear 2x corbeau bucket seats Axial black interior parts RC4WD wireless winch (Black) Almost done now, I only need to order the 5 custom wheels and get proper serial LIPO that can fit on my sliders. then after that my bank account get a rest. lol |

Got a good head start on the front bumper. I need to do the flat braces and do some shackles brackets. I had to use the specs of the winch to design the final bumper dimensions. I ended up having to do it ~5% wider than the 1:1 to account for the long/engine side of the winch. Its made from body panel steel and 1/4 steel rod. I actually made a CAD model on this one, unlike the rest of the build where I just eye ball everything. Just got back from my weekly trip to my LHS, Picked up some Tamiya primer and Tamiya black paint. Also picked up a CC BEC; now that I run the hitec servo its going to be much better with it. I almost picked up a Dingo kit, they are so cheap at 250$. I am kinda wanting a truck that is not my project so I can run it all the time. I managed to fight the urge for now. lol

I don't know how you have resisted it for this long. I drive my truck almost every single day and would go nuts without it for a week, let alone as long as you have been doing this. It is looking good though and almost there. The big question will be when it is finished, will you be able to bring yourself to actually drive it and see her get scratched and banged up?
