| bmuzz1's C2 F100
A little while ago a struck up a deal with Shon for his freshly built f100 C2. The truck came to me ARTR so there was very little for me to do to get it going. The body was trimmed and ready for paint and most of the electronics were already in place in a tidy little project box same as I always use in my builds. I did have to add a winch and controller so a KMS 180oz servo winch went in. KMS Winches K3 Servo Winch 180 oz K3SW180 The tranny was a stock unit but it did have a BWD HD motor plate installed so I just added my steel gears and C.I. outputs that I run on all my rigs with some new maxx shafts. The axles already had F1 spools front and rear, OD front/HD rear, RC4WD HD CVD's, Axial hi clearance knuckles and C's installed by Shon. The f100 came with a new set of my favorite wheels, Locked Up R/C Trail SLW with Agile rings and a full set of scale hardware. After I got the electronics and winch where I wanted them I was able to focus on the body, interior and paint for the tube work. For the tube work I went with gloss grey industrial spray paint which I used on my last f100 and found it to be very durable. For the body I ordered up a Dinky Honcho interior from TCS. Dinky "Honcho" Interior Kit (Black) - Part # SIBV4 For paint I wanted something special so I commissioned my buddy briansbodies to shoot the f100 in the TCS colors. Pics Brian sent Saturday afternoon before I picked up the body. And here's some pics from todays comp and the first time I've driven the truck since I got it from Shon. And a few more pics from home after the comp today Last edited by bmuzz1; 12-08-2014 at 10:38 PM. |

Brian had big smiles every time someone asked him how the truck was working. If Brian smiles about his rig that means it's working good. Aside of that, it's an absolute beaut! Very solid build. |

The paint was amazing! And from watching it run, everything looks to be done right. It handled very well, I'm sure you'll see bmuzz1 on the top of the scale comp scores a lot this season...kinda like last season |

Good looking rig Brian! How well do those RC4WD CVD's work? They wear out/break faster than any others?

I'll get some body off pics and a few update pics soon. I like the rc4wd extreme duty CVD's for the price they use a hex size pin and the material seems to be much better then past materials. I did break one on the red f100 but it had seen a lot of abuse from comping and a couple G6 events when the axles were under the '49 Merc. so I half expected it. They are definitely better then the axial CVD's. |

| Re: bmuzz1's R2j Built C2 F100 I wanted to take a look at the truck with some 475 hubs mounted up so I grabbed my black Methods from the MZ U4 rig and really like the way they look with the black lower color on the body so I think they are here to stay. I also got my scale driver installed over the weekend. Last edited by bmuzz1; 10-06-2014 at 08:26 PM. |

I've still got some detail work to do like LED's, Exhaust, and maybe a simple bed roll cage.

Here's a few body off pictures for you Bananaclip, hope you're pleased. This is one of the lighter scale rigs I have had at 6lbs 4.3oz without battery (2200mah 3s) but it works pretty well so far for the one comp I have driven it. It does need a little tuning yet but nothing major. I'll probably wait until I add the exhaust, rear roll bar and other scale doodads before I get into tuning more since the weight will change slightly. Last edited by bmuzz1; 10-07-2014 at 09:55 AM. |

I thank you for the shots brother! Very tidy under that beautiful lid. I really like the simplicity of your inner fenders. |

this thing looks so awesome. I never was a big fan of lexan bodys but something about the 66 ford body just makes me want to build one.
