| Re: Competition Style Tundra by Southern Builds Fab It's been a pleasure so far! I've been cleaning up the chassis all week in prep for final sand blast and powdercoat this weekend I have surgery on monday so I'll probably finish up cutting the 3rd cab and get ready for paint and vinyl when I'm rolling around the house |

| Re: Competition Style Tundra by Southern Builds Fab Spent a few evenings this week drinking beer and cleaning welds Powder coated this beauty tonight. The powder is a secret The reflections in the powdercoat look odd due to the LED light strips hanging from the ceiling at the shop That's all I have to say for now. Enjoy the pics guys. Thoughts, opinions and comments are always welcome |

Dang yo... Your scale garage is nicer than my real garage... I have a lift though... Jackstands are for poor people! ; ) lol. Love the way the ride's turning out by the way! That is some sweet tube work for sure. Love the secret powder coating. You have to be careful with the powder though... Someone gave me some secret powder once and when I woke up I had my pants around my ankles and my rig was missing, so look out!

Started assembling the rig today Filled every single bearing with CorrosionX and added Red N Tacky to all the gear sets. Replaced all bolts on the K44s and T-case with scale bolts. Shocks are on the chopping block tomorrow |

| Re: Competition Style Tundra by Southern Builds Fab WE GOT A ROLLER!!! Grab a beer, some chips, and sit your ass down. Southern Builds Fab AKA Forced Scale Labor Camp Don said we can't skimp out on this build, and suggested doing steel links to be used with the heim joints. 10 hours, $50 and tons of patience later here are the results. Ladies and Gentleman. Next level shit. I need to find a way to make a shorter Panhard mount on the axle, the K44s make this difficult with the square mounts already on the tubes. The bolts get fed through the top, and the heim joint is almost exactly the width of the space between the mount holes. Moving on. Here we have the Maddog RC light bar, quick disconnect in case it needs swapped or just turned off. Side boob equivalent. We're looking at 2.75" - 3" of Ground clearance at full droop depending whether you measure it at the frame or the cross member. She's got a case of them Angles (myspace joke) Here's some ass for your viewing pleasure. The inevitable interior work is coming... I think there's a total of 8 non-scale screws on this rig. 4 mounting the servo, and 4 on the rear of the R3 which I can't find replacements for I love this thing. Stretching her legs for the first time One shop stop. |

| Re: Competition Style Tundra by Southern Builds Fab haha I'm getting dem feels too Quote:
I am, as soon as I fit wraith axles on it and 2.2s to please the hive mind fanboys out there haha Or should I get the wraith axles, and trade them for scx10 axles, and then put burly tubes in them and wheel wideners? Of course I'd chassis mount my servo without a panhard | |
