New nut-crunchers came in.

These are Recaro knock-offs from china. I won't be bracing their backs to the roll bar, after the 5-point harness is installed you'll be begging to lose the feeling in your lower extremities.

The shops android arm putting things in place. It's a new mechanical arm thing, don't sweat the details.

We dem boys.

What do you guys think of the new seats?

Going out for a run this saturday. Anybody interested in a video? Will take some pics for sure.

Anybody want to see some changes on this? You guys have been awkwardly quiet.

Awkward RCC crowd is awkward.

Truck performed surprisingly well, better than any other I've built to date. I want some stiffer springs in the rear, it flexes too easy for me, I want to be able to carry the tire across sometimes. I'll get the 110mm spring kit and see if I can fine tune it.

Here's a quick video

Update! Swapped in a Torquemaster 35T and used stiffer 110mm springs in rear and same stiffness in front just longer.

Going out for a run tomorrow at Belle Isle. Anybody interested in some video?

Loved this build from day one and am happy to say that the chassis is in my possession now. With the Photobucket extortion scheme that is in effect, hardly any pictures remain. Anyone have any more pics of it?

If you are on a desktop click open image in new tab and it will bring you to the photobucket album. Photobucket just wont show them on 3rd party sites.

Things are happening!

Sourced a single speed transmission in the classifieds. Mounted up the usual Hitec servo and Holmes Brushless motor.

Axles, shocks, wheels, tires and a few other goodies should be here this week as well.

Thanks!

I have been working on the rear end tonight. RC4WD D44 axle, Baja Claws, 100mm Kings and a few other minor additions.

MTR's, new wheels, front shocks, 2 of the 3 driveshafts and a few surprises are on the way.

I have to say that this chassis makes me smile more and more as I work on it.

Well ladies and gentlemen, it is a roller again!

Will be running SCX2 based axles for clearance. Really want to add the new VP rear axle and Rock Jock front. Will have to see though.

Can see that I will need to build a longer panhard bar.

Thanks! Just hoping to do the original build justice.

Got it mostly ready to go for some trail riding at ECSC!

They are nice and sticky! I haven't run these 1.9's yet but I have put some time in with then1.7 version. Between the polished rock and sand/dirt I have been on, they have done excellent!

Figured I would give a little update here.
I installed a set of our D44 Plastic axles as well as a set of Mega Truck Universal Shafts. I got the steering setup nice and high and got the panhard at an identical angle to the draglink.

Those RC4WD Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 2.2" Scale Tires aren't custom cut, correct?

Your pics make them seem to have a more open tread than the other pics I've seen.

Oh, and what foams did you use? And size, please?

Beautiful truck!

These are the 1.9 version of the tire. It does have a little more spacing than the 1.7 and 1.55 versions. I currently have the stock foams that came with them in it. RC4WD has stiffened the foams up over what the old tires came with.

The old grey foams would have been flat under the Tundra lol
