Very nice build! The blue tube work is the only thing that confuses me with your color layout. Very scale execution though. Hell you have scale hardware on your inner ring

Killer build, you really put a lot of work into this and it shows. For example you could have just used a Wraith skid plate but you made some integrated link mounts. I think it might be cool to add a small metal custom skid plate. Love the Heim joints and scale hardware! Good job

That was the plan

Grey tube would have been more appropriate but I just couldn't get the tempest blue out of my mind. I wanted to hightlight Donalds excellent tube work. It makes everything else stand out too

I'm afraid we're done with the underside, the skid would just cover all the scale work and removable cross member.

Interior has been in the works. Complicated stuff to make it all work, here's a tiny update:

This thing gave me jealousy real bad

Seriously love the links and work in placing them. Just beautiful. I do feel the same about the tube color and livery clash but screw it, it is unique. If you did bend and make them jive more, I would stick with your color palate on the truck and change the tube color. Just a thought...the vehicle is art though.

I wanted to use this specific powder because it's a two stage process and requires clear powder, making the chassis look nearly black (extremely dark blue) in normal light conditions, and refracting the magnesium blue only under powerful light such as the LEDs in the scale shop. I wish you could see how bright this scale shop is, it's like the light at the end of the tunnel.

Also Ivan Stewarts chassis was gloss black, so it's not too far off

Like the new 330mm OMP wheel?

I know what you're thinking, "BUT WHERE THE PHO YOU GONNA PUT THE BATTERY"

Shhhh.

No tears.

"BUT HOW YOU GONNA FIT IT THROUGH THAT TINY TRIANGLE SLIT!!!"

One cell at a time.

BA DUM.

tsssss.......

But really, don't worry.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Step 1: Unscrew the tire iron and flip up the tire carrier.

Step 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dJolYw8tnk

Repeat after He-Man and lift the spare tire out of the way. (Don't skip this step, you need the power)

Step 3: Work your magic on the styrene door, like it's your girlfriend when she's not in the mood

And that's it. Use your He-Man voice again and put the spare back in.

Light weight TRD buckets!

Powdercoated backs.

I want to bend the bolsters in more to give them the quintessential bucket look.

Don't look at my lazy masking work!

That's it for now!

I LOVE this truck! You guys are truly masters of your craft. I hesitate to use the words "my favorite truck on here" as there are so many great builds that I have yet to see, but the sentiment is there! Truly an epic build! I can't wait to see some videos.

I know you're thinking "applying stickers must take forever" ...

Some of us are detail challanged, and don't have a calibrated eye

These fender liners took me a million hours. Each.

Anyway, interior is in place for the most part, needs Donalds touch for small scale sh!t.

Because car guy things.

Gotta finish the interior and we're off to a shakedown session

I forgot to mention I changed up the foams some. I took all the weight out of the wheels, gutted the inside of the solid foamwhere the ribs used to be and put rc4wd stock foams around them.

Depending how much you cut out, you can tune how stiff the tire is. Nice thing is the tire gets a real carcass to keep it from deforming under lateral loads, but the contact patch is nice and pliable due to normal foam sitting inside the solid foam. Rear tires are stiffer than the front btw

Also changed up the springs in the front.

That's it for now.

P.S. She weighs 8lbs.

Number plates are up!

Extra details are in. Shouldn't be too hard to work on in the field, it all comes out relatively easy in 3 pieces. Fire extinguisher is mounted almost in the same spot as in my car haha.

What can I say. I'm a roll bar and fire extinguisher kinda man
